Nationals sent RHP Patrick Murphy outright to Triple-A Rochester.
Murphy was designated for assignment last weekend and passed through waivers unclaimed. The 26-year-old righty had allowed six runs -- four earned -- on eight hits and eight walks through 5 2/3 innings this season.

Mariners INF prospect Samad Taylor went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI for Triple-A Tacoma on Sunday.
Taylor is having a great season in the minors, hitting .319 with eight home runs and eight steals in 36 games for Triple-A Tacoma. The Mariners have been running out Miles Mastrobuoni and his .205/.272/.241 slash line in the minors, so they could opt to make a move soon.
Westburg suffers setback in rehab assignment
Baltimore Orioles' Jordan Westburg suffered a setback during his hamstring injury recovery and James Schiano details whether you should continue to roster the All-Star infielder in fantasy.
  • SEA Right Fielder #8
Dominic Canzone went 1-for-5 with a home run for Triple-A Tacoma on Sunday.
Canzone is hitting .314 with 11 home runs and 27 RBI in 27 games for Triple-A Tacoma this season. The Mariners are continuing to play Leody Taveras in right field, but they could pivot to Canzone if Taveras doesn’t start to produce.
  • HOU Starting Pitcher #63
Tyler Ivey allowed just two hits in six shutout innings for Triple-A Sugar Land on Sunday.
Ivey walked one and struck out eight on the day. The 29-year-old has a 4.35 ERA with a 38:20 K:BB ratio in 39 1/3 innings at Triple-A this season. Ivey was a fourth-round pick back in 2017 and a former top prospect in the Astros organization, but he had a UCL injury in 2019 that popped up again in 2021 and led to season-ending surgery. The recovery process caused Ivey to question his dedication to baseball, and he retired in 2022 before coming back this season. With Hayden Wesneski out for the season, the Astros could turn to Ivey to take his spot in the rotation if Ryan Gusto continues to struggle.
  • CLE 1st Baseman #72
Guardians 1B/OF prospect C.J. Kayfus went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run for Triple-A Columbus on Sunday.
The 23-year-old is now hitting .379 in 15 games at Triple-A with three home runs, 11 RBI, and a steal. The Guardians have been playing him in the outfield as well, which could expedite his path to the majors if he continues to hit like this.
  • CLE Center Fielder #8
Lane Thomas (wrist) went 3-for-4 with a walk, a home run, and a steal for Triple-A Columbus on Sunday.
Thomas has gone 5-for-17 in five games at Triple-A with a home run, five strikeouts, and one walk. He’s been off to a rough start at the big league level, but we’ve seen him do this before and rebound with some strong months. He seems likely to return to Cleveland in the next week and should be added in deeper formats where he was dropped.
  • LAD Starting Pitcher #28
Bobby Miller threw six shutout innings with just two hits allowed for Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday.
He struck out seven and walked four on the day, so the command is still something he needs to work on. He has 29 walks to 31 strikeouts in 35 innings at Triple-A this season while posting a 4.63 ERA. He’s still a long way from pushing his way back into the Dodgers’ rotation, but this is just a reminder that the 26-year-old remains talented.
  • PIT Catcher #5
Endy Rodríguez (finger) went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run for Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday.
Rodríguez has been on the IL with a right index finger laceration since April 15th. He’s 3-for-10 on his rehab assignment with two home runs, one walk, and one strikeout. There’s a chance he could return to Pittsburgh sometime next week.
  • NYM Shortstop #10
Mets INF prospect Ronny Mauricio went 2-for-4 with a stolen base for Triple-A Syracuse on Sunday.
The steal was Mauricio’s first of the year and is good to see, considering he’s coming off a full season missed due to a torn ACL. This season, Mauricio has played second base, shortstop, and third base, but the Mets did play him in the outfield back in 2023, so it will be interesting to see what position they try to settle him at in the hopes of clearing a path to the big leagues.
  • DET 3rd Baseman #41
Gage Workman went 1-for-4 with a walk, an RBI, and a stolen base for Triple-A Toledo on Sunday.
What might be most interesting about this is that the Tigers played Workman in centerfield on Sunday. Workman started the season playing mainly third base for the Cubs and White Sox, and was exclusively an infielder in the minor leagues in 2024. He did play eight games in right field in 2023, but with Javier Baez in center field and Parker Meadows on the path to returning, it’s interesting to see the Tigers use Workman in the outfield rather than at third base. Perhaps they are trying to see if they can use him as a super utility player at the big league level.
  • CIN Right Fielder #57
Rece Hinds is working on playing first base with the help of Reds Staff Assistant Mike Napoli.
Hinds has played outfield for his entire minor league career, apart from nine games at third base during his first professional season. The Reds have plenty of outfield options, so Hinds being able to play first base would give him a little more security on the roster, especially with Jeimer Candelario and Christian Encarnacion-Strand both banged up and struggling. Hinds is 6'4", 215 pounds, so he certainly makes for a big enough target at the position.
