Winker will be joined by teammates Blake Perkins and Darin Ruf as well. The trio are attempting to make their way back to Milwaukee before the regular season wraps up, but the clock is ticking, and there isn’t exactly a clear path to at-bats for any of them at the moment. They should be up for postseason roster spots, if the Brewers get there.

Pasquantino and Carter Jensen will both get a breather on Sunday afternoon with left-hander Framber Valdez on the bump for the Tigers. Salvador Perez will cover first base in his place while Luke Maile draws a start behind the dish and will bat eighth for the Royals.

The 30-year-old southpaw had been sidelined since the first week of July due to a left groin strain, and then had his return delayed slightly while battling an illness. He’ll rejoin the Red Sox’ rotation for Sunday afternoon’s series finale against the Blue Jays at Fenway Park.

The Red Sox needed to clear a spot on their active roster for the return of Ranger Suarez on Sunday and unfortunately Gamboa drew the short straw this time around. The 29-year-old southpaw holds a terrific 2.08 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and a 12/5 K/BB ratio over 13 innings in seven appearances with the big league club this season. He should get another opportunity with the Red Sox before the summer is through.

Pratt’s home run was his second. He hit a solo shot off Ryan Feltner in the second inning. Pratt is now hitting .281 with a .753 OPS and 11 RBI in his first 31 games in the majors.

Langeliers suffered the injury while running the bases during Friday’s contest against the Twins. The 28-year-old backstop had been one of the A’s most prominent trade chips leading up to the trade deadline, and while they weren’t necessarily going to move him, interested teams had been making inquiries. The A’s have not yet decided whether Langeliers will undergo surgery to repair the tear, but if he does it would end his 2026 season. It’s a devasting blow for fantasy managers who simply won’t be able to recreate Langeliers’ power production from what’s available on the waiver wire.

Lara entered play Saturday with a 6-for-27 (.222) start to his MLB career. Against the Rockies, he had his first game with two hits, his first game where he was on base three times and his first game with three RBI. Lara, who doesn’t turn 22 until November, is oozing with potential. He improved his average to .276 with one big game. Lara stole 24 bases in 78 games in the minors this year, but has just one steal in 12 games so far in the majors. With Sal Frelick out with a shoulder strain, the Brewers are going to continue to take a look at Lara and fantasy managers might want to as well.

Megill didn’t start the ninth inning, but made his way into the game with two outs, runners on first and third and the tying run in the on-deck circle. After allowing an RBI single to Kyle Karros to make the score 8-5, Megill struck out Cole Carrigg swinging to end the game. It was his 17th save. He has a 2.97 ERA on the season.

Feltner gave up nine hits, walked one and struck out four. He fell to 3-5 with the loss. Feltner held the Brewers to three runs in the first five innings, but was removed after allowing the first two batters to reach in the sixth inning. The bullpen allowed both inherited runners to score, which added two earned runs to Feltner’s line. He has a 5.73 ERA now. Feltner is lined up to face the Royals at Coors Field next weekend.

It’s nothing more than a routine day of rest for the 28-year-old slugger with tough left-hander Parker Messick toeing the slab for the Guardians. Ryan Vilade will cover first base in his absence and will bat second for the Rays on Sunday afternoon at Tropicana Field.

It’s the fourth straight game that Walls has missed after hyperextending a couple of fingers on his left hand on Wednesday. He’s still considered day-to-day and isn’t expected to require a trip to the injured list. Ben Williamson will once again start at shortstop in his absence and will bat sixth against Guardians’ left-hander Parker Messick.
