Hao-Yu Lee left the second game of Friday’s doubleheader in the fifth inning with an apparent knee injury.

Lee was hurt colliding with Austin Hedges in the third, but since he was DHing, it was unclear for a couple of innings whether he’d be staying in the game. Dillon Dingler replaced him in the fifth.

Gavin Stone is having his turn skipped for Triple-A Oklahoma City this week because of a biceps issue.

It’s supposed to be a minor problem, but it’s taken Stone out of the mix to start for the Dodgers this weekend. Stone has pitched 11 2/3 innings with a 1.54 ERA in four starts for Oklahoma City as he works his way back from shoulder surgery. He has an excellent 18/1 K/BB during the span.

Joe Musgrove, who last pitched on Aug. 27, still isn’t lined up for another outing as he struggles with range-of-motion issues.

Musgrove, trying to return from Tommy John, has been impressive when he’s been able to pitch, but he’s really struggled to bounce back afterwards. “We’re just trying to look at some different options -- shorter appearances, different theories,” Musgrove said. “I’m running out of answers.” Musgrove will likely take on a lesser workload in his next appearance, with the hope that he might bounce back more quickly. A return this season as a traditional starter appears to be off the table at this point.

Aaron Judge took batting practice on the field prior to Friday’s game in San Diego.

Judge was also seen running the bases today. He’s unlikely to be activated from his rib fracture this weekend, but a return next week back in New York is possible.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Friday that he’s “hopeful, but I wouldn’t say confident” that Shohei Ohtani will avoid the IL.

This is definitely a change from yesterday. Ohtani is out of the lineup for a second straight game tonight because of his knee and biceps issues. According to The Athletic, his left hip has become a problem, too. All things considered, 10 days off doesn’t seem like a bad idea.

Guardians recalled RHP Daniel Espino from Triple-A Columbus.

Espino is officially up in the majors for a second time, which doesn’t include his one-day doubleheader stint in July. He’s allowed three runs and struck out 12 over six innings for the Guardians. He’d allowed four runs in 18 innings for Columbus since his previous demotion.

Guardians optioned LHP Logan Allen to Triple-A Columbus.

Aidan Miller is slated to play shortstop Saturday for Low-A Clearwater in his first game action this year.

Miller emerged as one of baseball’s best prospects last year, but his back has been a problem throughout 2026, resulting in a procedure in June. As long as things go well over the next couple of weeks, he’ll be assigned to the Arizona Fall League in order to get more at-bats,
