McMillon struggled in 30 innings at Triple-A for the Royals but has pitched well for Miami since being claimed off waivers, registering a 1,50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, and 13 strikeouts in 12 innings. Given how little time is left in the season, it’s possible that McMillon is done for the season. Jeff Lindgren was called up to take his place on the active roster.

Tomoyuki Sugano

Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports that the Rockies have agreed to a one-year contract with free agent right-hander Tomoyuki Sugano.

The 36-year-old hurler made the transition to Major League Baseball in 2025 and started out strong, posting a 3.38 ERA over 80 innings in his first 14 starts for the Orioles. He then stumbled to a 5.96 ERA over 77 innings in his final 16 starts. Sugano served up a league-leading 33 home runs in 2025, an issue that will only be compounded by pitching half of his games at Coors Field. For fantasy purposes, just stay away.

Houck is set to miss the majority of the 2026 season while recovering from a hybrid reconstruction of the right ulnar collateral ligament with flexor tendon repair in his right elbow, so this move was inevitable. If he does return, it would likely only be for a start or two in September where he’d still face workload limitations. Fantasy managers in redraft leagues can find better use of their late round picks.

Isiah Kiner-Falefa

Red Sox signed INF Isiah Kiner-Falefa to a one-year, $6 million contract.

The deal, which was agreed upon last week, is now official. The versatile 30-year-old infielder is likely to see most of his action with the Red Sox as a pinch runner or defensive replacement, due to his overall limitations offensively. He can continue to be ignored for fantasy purposes.

Randy Rodríguez

Giants placed RHP Randy Rodríguez on the 60-day injured list.

Rodríguez is in the process of recovering from Tommy John reconstructive elbow surgery and is expected to miss most, if not all, of the 2026 season. Even if he does make it back at the end of the season, he’s unlikely to immediately factor into the mix for saves, so there’s no reason to be looking his way in redraft leagues. Placing him on the 60-day injured list frees up a spot on the Giants’ 40-man roster so they could make the signing of Luis Arraez official on Tuesday.

Luis Arraez

SF Infield

Giants signed INF Luis Arraez to a one-year, $12 million contract.

The deal, which was agreed to at the end of January, is official now that Arraez has passed his physical. Randy Rodriguez was placed on the 60-day injured list to free up a spot on the club’s 40-man roster. The 28-year-old infielder chose the Giants in large part because they were willing to let him play second base regularly, so expect them to give him plenty of runway at the position to start the season, regardless of how he performs defensively.

Bryce Eldridge

SF 1st Baseman #78

Bryce Eldridge (wrist) told reporters on Tuesday that he’s a full go for the start of spring training.

The 21-year-old slugger underwent surgery in October to remove a bone spur from his wrist. While it delayed his usual offseason routine, Eldridge said he has been swinging a bat since mid-December and won’t have any restrictions in spring training. Eldridge and Rafael Devers are expected to cover the first base and designated hitter spots in the Giants’ lineup for the upcoming season.

Aaron Civale

FA Starting Pitcher #38
Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports that the Athletics have reached an agreement on a contract with free agent right-hander Aaron Civale.

Chris Cotillo and Sean McAdam of MassLive.com report that it will be a one-year, major league contract while Jeff Passan of ESPN adds that it will be for $6 million. The 30-year-old righty made 23 appearances (18 starts) between the Brewers, White Sox and Cubs in 2025, posting a 4.85 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and an 88/33 K/BB ratio over 102 innings. He’ll give the A’s a capable veteran option to fill out the back end of their Opening Day rotation.

Andrew Puk

AZ Pitcher #33

A.J. Puk (elbow) told reporters, including Jack Sommers of Sports Illustrated, that he plans to return to the Diamondbacks’ bullpen before July.

The 30-year-old southpaw underwent his Tommy John surgery in June, so a return in June, or even July, puts him on the earliest possible end of his timeline. He’s on track to start throwing off of a mound in March, so it sounds like he may be ahead of schedule, but June still seems like an optimistic estimate. Either way though, the Diamondbacks should be expecting to get a major boost to their bullpen for the second half of the season.

Justin Martinez

Justin Martinez (elbow) told reporters on Tuesday that he’s targeting August for a return to the Diamondbacks’ bullpen.

The 24-year-old hurler underwent Tommy John reconstructive elbow surgery last June. It’s possible that he’s being a bit optimistic with that return date, but it sounds like everything has gone smoothly in his recovery to this stage. Getting him back at all in 2026 would provide a welcomed late-season boost to the Diamondbacks’ bullpen.

Jonah Heim

ATL Catcher #28

According to Mark Bowman of MLB.com, the Braves are in agreement on a contract with free agent catcher Jonah Him.

Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com notes that it will be a one-year, major league contract. No word yet on the financial terms of the deal. Heim slashed just .213/.271/.332 with 11 homers and 43 RBI in 433 plate appearances with the Rangers in 2025. With Sean Murphy expected to be sidelined until May, Heim could break camp with the Braves as the primary backup behind Drake Baldwin.
