Ha-Seong Kim is at shortstop and hitting eighth on Wednesday against the Blue Jays.
Kim is starting at shortstop for the second time in the last three games after sitting out for an extended stretch last week. Jorge Mateo seems to be getting a real chance to play everyday with Kim shifting into more of a bench role recently. He’s hit just .089 (4-for-45) with two RBI and one steal in 13 games since making his Atlanta debut last month.

Ha-Seong Kim is out of the lineup for the third straight game on Saturday against the Reds.
Kim finds himself glued to the bench after hitting .095 (4-for-42) with zero extra-base hits in 12 games since making his season debut back on May 12. It appears that Atlanta skipper Walt Weiss is going to give Jorge Mateo a chance as the club’s primary shortstop as long as he keeps producing.

Ha-Seong Kim is not in Atlanta’s starting lineup for Thursday’s game against the Red Sox.
It looks to be a routine day off for Kim against Red Sox LHP Payton Tolle. Kim has struggled mightily since returning from his torn finger tendon, hitting just .095/.191/.095 in 12 games for the Braves so far. Jorge Mateo is manning shortstop today in his absence.
  • ATL Shortstop #7
Ha-Seong Kim is absent from the Braves’ starting lineup for Sunday’s tilt against the Red Sox.
The Braves continue to ease the 30-year-old infielder back into full-time action. He’s off to a slow start at the dish, hitting .077 (1-for-13) with a pair of strikeouts through his first four games. Jorge Mateo will start at shortstop and will bat seventh for the Braves on Sunday afternoon in Atlanta.

Ha-Seong Kim went 0-for-3 with a strikeout as the Braves were shut out by Ben Brown and a pair of Cubs’ relievers on Thursday evening.
As a team, the Braves had just five hits in the contest — all of them singles — so Kim wasn’t solely responsible for the ineffective night at the plate. He has struggled since returning from the injured list, slashing just .111/.200/.111 with zero RBI through his first 10 plate appearances on the season.

Ha-Seong Kim is at shortstop and hitting eighth on Tuesday against the Cubs.
Kim will make his long-awaited Braves debut after missing the first six weeks of the season recovering from an offseason finger injury. The 30-year-old middle infielder takes over as Atlanta’s starting shortstop and should offer enough power/speed combo production to be worthy of a roster spot in deeper mixed leagues.
  • ATL Shortstop #7
Braves activated SS Ha-Seong Kim (finger) from the 10-day injured list.
Kim has been making his way through the minor leagues as he recovers from a torn tendon in his finger. He also struggled through some injuries last season, playing just 48 games and hitting .234/.304/.346 with five home runs and six steals in 48 games. He does have some power and speed, but the results haven’t been there since 2023, he’s probably only a worthwhile deep-league add for now.

Ha-Seong Kim (finger) went 2-for-4 with a run scored on Tuesday in a minor league rehab game for Triple-A Gwinnett.
Kim played seven innings at shortstop in his latest rehab contest, his first at the Triple-A level, after getting a couple games under his belt in the lower minors. He should be ready to make his season debut by mid-May after getting a few more games in this week.

Ha-Seong Kim (finger) has moved his rehab to Triple-A Gwinnett.
Kim played his first game of the season at Double-A Columbus on Wednesday and will now move up a level. He did not get any spring training after tearing a tendon in his finger in the offseason, so he will likely need at least a week at Triple-A before potentially joining Atlanta.
  • ATL Shortstop #7
Ha-Seong Kim (finger) went 1-for-2 with a stolen base on Wednesday in a minor league rehab game for Double-A Columbus.
Kim played five innings at shortstop in his rehab debut and is going to need at least a week or two of game action to get back up to speed before he’s ready to make his season debut. The 30-year-old middle infielder has been on the shelf recovering from a torn tendon in his right middle finger that he suffered while falling on a patch of ice during the offseason.
