Enmanuel De Jesus, who spent last season with the Kiwoom Heroes of the KBO, has drawn interest from two major league clubs, according to MLB Network’s Jon Morosi.

The Heroes have decided against bringing back De Jesus, even though the 27-year-old went 13-11 with a 3.68 ERA and a 178/44 K/BB in 171 1/3 innings in his lone season with the team. A former Red Sox prospect, De Jesus pitched briefly in the majors for the Marlins in 2023 before going to Korea.

Walker Jenkins homered again Wednesday for Triple-A St. Paul.

Jenkins is now batting .380/.436/.640 in August with three homers and three stolen bases in 12 games. The Twins would appear to have an opening on paper for a strong-side platoon outfielder that could play over Luke Keaschall, but Keaschall is hitting .345/.426/.569 in August and the Twins don’t appear interested in moving him back to the infield.
Angels' Joyce firmly among MLB's 'best relievers'
James Schiano breaks down Ben Joyce's recent play after he recorded his third straight save on Tuesday night, sharing why he needs to be "scooped up" in fantasy leagues.

Seaver King went 3-for-4 with another home run for Triple-A Rochester on Wednesday.

He also, notably, played third base. Perhaps that opens a September call-up pathway for King, who has homered in 6-of-10 contests for Rochester and is currently hitting .375/.467/.719 since returning from an oblique strain on July 30.

Giants recalled LHP Reiver Sanmartin from Triple-A Sacramento.

He was optioned down literally yesterday to make room for Matt Wilkinson and now comes back up as Keaton Winn was placed on the injured list. Sanmartin is just a low-leverage up-and-down arm.

Giants placed RHP Keaton Winn on the 15-day injured list retroactive to August 19 with right elbow neuritis.

He was already on the injured list for a right elbow strain earlier this year so we’re concerned that this could be something chronic that needs to be dealt with. Winn hasn’t made a real play for the closer’s role so this move has no fantasy impact. He carried a 3.65 ERA in 12 1/3 innings since returning from the injured list, but had walked eight and struck out just seven along the way.

Jacob Wilson (shoulder) remains out of the Athletics’ starting lineup for the fifth time in six games.

Darell Hernaiz is starting at shortstop and batting ninth against RHP Randy Dobnak. Wilson remains a prime candidate to head to the injured list, especially now that the Athletics lineup is already injury-depleted as they finish off the season.

Jac Caglianone (ankle) is not in Kansas City’s starting lineup against the Athletics on Thursday.

He left yesterday’s game with soreness in the ankle. Royals manager Matt Quatraro said after the game the issue had begun to occur over the weekend against the Angels. “Just going down the line today in that first inning hit, felt it a little bit, and then tried to manage it, go out to outfield, but clearly there was a little (soreness),” Quatraro said. “You know, we’re just trying to be cautious to be honest, because we don’t want something bigger to come up.” We’ll see what comes of this but Caglianone remains day-to-day for the moment. Isaac Collins is starting against LHP Gage Jump today.

Liam Hicks is not in Tampa Bay’s starting lineup against the Blue Jays on Thursday.

Nick Fortes will get a day-game-after-a-night-game start against RHP Shane Bieber. Since being acquired by the Rays, Hicks has almost exclusively played catcher — he has just one start at first base and stayed in the game as a pinch-hitter twice as a catcher alongside 10 starts at catcher.

Brett Bateman (hamstring) is not in Thursday’s lineup for the Blue Jays against the Rays.

Bateman said he felt a pinch in his hamstring running up the line in the top of the third inning last night and came out when it tightened up in the fifth inning. He was set to undergo an MRI last night but we don’t know what came of it yet. Myles Straw and Daz Cameron are both in the lineup against LHP Ian Seymour today.

Jo Adell (knee) isn’t in Cleveland’s starting lineup against the Giants on Thursday.

That’s two straight days on the shelf for Adell after fouling a ball off his left knee. He’s considered day-to-day.

Chase DeLauter (hamstring) is sitting for a third consecutive day on Thursday against the Giants.

He hasn’t played since suffering the hamstring injury during Sunday’s game. DeLauter underwent an MRI that showed no structural issues earlier in the week, and he took batting practice yesterday despite being unavailable during the game, so this appears to be a day-to-day issue still.
