Bloss will undergo further evaluation and imaging to determine the extent of the issue and won’t make his next start at Triple-A Buffalo. There should be an update on his status at some point in the coming days. The 23-year-old righty made three starts last year for the Astros before being shipped to the Blue Jays last July at the trade deadline as part of the Yusei Kikuchi deal.

The meeting was described as productive. The outcome from that, is an expectation that Marte will be placed on the 10-day injured list prior to Friday’s series opener against the Reds, as he’s dealing with inflammation in his hamstring and his knee. The Diamondbacks are hopeful that he’ll be able to return to action after a short stint on the injured list. It’s a tough spot for fantasy managers in redraft leagues without IL spots, as he’s going to miss a couple of weeks at a minimum and who knows what’s going to happen after that.

The 26-year-old infielder ambushed the first pitch of the sixth inning from Kyle Bradish for a 413-foot (107.1-mph EV) solo shot that increased the Bombers’ lead to 4-1. He also singled in the eighth inning and scored on Jazz Chisholm’s RBI triple. With his three-hit attack, García is now slashing .279/.309/.541 with 25 homers, 80 RBI and four stolen bases in what has been an impressive breakout campaign.

Jones led off the third inning with a single and scored as Jose Caballero bounced into a fielder’s choice. He then crushed a 398-foot (108.0-mph EV) solo shot off of Kyle Bradish in the sixth inning that extended the Bombers’ advantage to 5-1. He also singled in the eighth inning and swiped second base but was ultimately left stranded there. For the season, the dynamic 25-year-old is now hitting .227/.305/.407 with six homers, 19 RBI and seven stolen bases on the season.

Chisholm capped off the scoring in the contest as he plated Luis García Jr. with an RBI triple off of Albert Suarez in the eighth inning. That would be his lone hit in the ballgame. While he has delivered quality fantasy production with 17 homers and 33 stolen bases on the season, he has done so while slashing an anemic .216/.296/.388 across 463 plate appearancs.

Cole scattered four hits in the ballgame while allowing only one base on balls. The only blemish on his day came on a solo blast off the bat of Dylan Beavers in the fifth inning. Aside from that, he was brilliant. The 35-year-old hurler generated 15 swings and misses on his 93 offerings — seven of them on his fastball — while posting a strong CSW of 35 percent. Now 7-6 on the season, Cole will bring a 3.11 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and a 100/20 K/BB ratio (92 2/3 innings) into Wednesday’s start against the Astros.

Beavers finally got the O’s on the board with his 386-foot (102.2-mph EV) solo shot off of Gerrit Cole in the fifth inning. That would be the extent of their offense. The 25-year-old outfielder finished the evening 1-for-3 and is now slashing .239/.318/.366 with five homers and 26 RBI in 240 plate appearances on the season.

The 29-year-old righty punched out five batters in the contest while issuing a pair of free passes. The Yankees struck for three runs (two of them unearned) in the third inning, then Bradish served up solo homers to Luis Garcia Jr. and Spencer Jones before exiting in the sixth inning. Bradish got 10 whiffs on 100 pitches on the night, posting an uninspiring CSW of 25 percent. He’ll look to bounce back as he carries a 3.70 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and a 129/60 K/BB ratio (138 2/3 innings) into Wednesday’s matchup against the Cardinals in St. Louis.

Nationals’ manager Blake Butera told reporters on Thursday that Abrams suffered the injury while trying to beat a tag at second base during the top of the ninth inning on Wednesday. The ankle swelled up on him overnight and he was limping around in the clubhouse on Thursday and may ultimately have imaging done to determine the severity of the issue. As of now, he’s considered day-to-day, but fantasy managers should keep an eye on this one.

And the fantasy managers rejoiced. The 22-year-old southpaw will make his highly anticipated MLB debut on Saturday against the Cubs. Anderson, the third overall selection from the 2025 MLB draft, has compiled a brilliant 1.06 ERA, 0.64 WHIP and a 135/13 K/BB ratio across 93 1/3 innings in 18 starts at Double-A Arkansas this season. He should be rostered in all fantasy leagues and is expected to make an immediate impact for the M’s and for fantasy managers over the final six weeks of the season.

With the uncertainty around Ketel Marte, the Diamondbacks figured they would add some quality infield depth to be on the safe side. The 31-year-old has hit .268/.276/.375 with one homer, seven RBI and an 8/1 K/BB ratio over 60 plate appearances at the MLB level this season.
