Chad Green was saddled with his first loss of the season on Tuesday evening, giving up two runs (one earned) on two hits in his lone inning of work.
Green came on to pitch the eighth inning with the Rangers and Blue Jays locked in a scoreless tie. He allowed a one-out single to Kyle Higashioka and then intentionally walked Wyatt Langford with two outs, setting the stage for Josh Jung who delivered an RBI single. The Rangers then pushed another run across on an errant pickoff throw by Alejandro Kirk. On the season, the 34-year-old hurler now boasts a 3.47 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and a 21/6 K/BB ratio over 23 1/3 innings in his first 24 appearances.
