Brian Snitker will not return to manage the Braves next season, reports ESPN’s Jeff Passan.

Snitker will remain with the organization and transition into a senior advisory role. The 69-year-old skipper won 811 games and six division titles as the team’s manager for the majority of 10 seasons. He helped lead the organization to its fourth-ever World Series title in 2021 and will end his career as the third most winning manager in the organization’s history behind Brian Cox and Frank Selee. He also managed for 20 years in the minor leagues and has spent the entirety of his career in the Braves organization.

Diamondbacks activated RHP Drey Jameson from the 15-day injured list.

Jameson had been shelved since mid-July due to inflammation in his right hip. He’ll rejoin the Diamondbacks’ bullpen for Sunday’s series finale against the Reds. Zack Littell was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

Diamondbacks designated RHP Zack Littell for assignment.

With Drey Jameson returning from the injured list on Sunday, the Diamondbacks needed to free up a spot on their active roster and Littell drew the short straw. The 30-year-old hurler posted a 7.50 ERA, 2.08 WHIP and a 3/4 K/BB ratio over 12 innings in three appearances with the Diamondbacks.

Félix Bautista (shoulder) struggled in his first minor league rehab appearance at Double-A Chesapeake on Sunday, recording only one out.

The 31-year-old hurler faced five batters in the ballgame — allowing a hit and three walks in the process. He threw just 10 of his 22 pitches for strikes while maxing out at 97-mph on the radar gun. It’s going to take some time to shake off the rust following Tommy John surgery, so expect inconsistency upon his return.

Rangers recalled C Logan O’Hoppe from Triple-A Round Rock.

The 26-year-old backstop will get his first chance to show the Rangers what he can do after being picked up in a deadline deal from the Angels. O’Hoppe has hit just .209/.271/.295 with four homers and 23 RBI in 256 plate appearances at the MLB level this season.

Rangers designated OF Jarred Kelenic for assignment.

This is the third time that the Rangers have DFA’d the former top prospect. Each previous time he has returned on a minor league contract and eventually earned another chance with the Rangers. It’s possible that happens again this time around, though his days of fantasy relevancy are in the rearview mirror.

Trevor Larnach is not in the Twins’ starting lineup for Sunday’s battle against the Padres.

It’s a rare off day for Larnach with an opposing right-hander on the mound. Alen Roden will start in his place in left field and will bat seventh for the Twins against Padres’ veteran Walker Buehler.

Yankees’ manager Aaron Boone told reporters on Sunday that he expects Ryan Weathers to return in some capacity before the 2026 season is through.

That suggests that the Yankees could envision him returning in a bullpen role. He’ll be shut down from throwing for the next two-to-four weeks before starting to ramp back up after landing on the injured list with a left forearm flexor strain on Sunday.

Ezequiel Tovar (illness) returned to the Rockies’ starting lineup on Sunday.

Tovar was removed from Friday night’s contest due to illness and then sat out on Saturday as he was still feeling under the weather. While his health has improved, his offensive game hasn’t, as he’s slashing a cringe-inducing .204/.251/.326 with just nine homers and 38 RBI on the season.

Rockies activated INF/OF Tyler Freeman from the 10-day injured list; optioned him to Triple-A Albuquerque.

Freeman had already been stationed at Triple-A Albuquerque on a minor league rehab assignment, and he’ll stay there for a bit longer until a spot opens up on the Rockies’ bench. The 27-year-old has hit just .247/.317/.314 with three homers, 23 RBI and six stolen bases in 288 plate appearances with the Rockies on the season.

Rockies recalled INF Ryan Ritter from Triple-A Albuquerque.

With Kyle Karros (concussion) landing on the injured list on Sunday, Ritter will return to add depth to the Rockies’ infield. The 25-year-old is just 1-for-7 (.143) in his limited action with the big league club this season and can be ignored for fantasy purposes.
