Ryan Feltner was scratched from Saturday’s start against the Braves due to illness.

Rockies manager Warren Schaeffer told reporters Feltner got sick overnight but they’re hoping he’ll be available to pitch in relief. It’ll be Zach Agnos kicking off a bullpen game for the Rockies instead. The 29-year-old righty holds a lackluster 6.08 ERA across 97 2/3 innings of work this season.

Mitch Bratt will serve as the 27th man for Saturday’s doubleheader against the Giants.

Bratt gets the ball for the nightcap of Saturday’s twin bill at Oracle Park. The 23-year-old rookie has compiled an underwhelming 4.54 ERA and 25/28 K/BB ratio across 39 2/3 innings for Arizona this season. He’s not a recommended fantasy option in this spot.

Diamondbacks selected the contract of RHP Derek Law from Triple-A Reno.

Law joins Arizona’s relief mix prior to Saturday’s doubleheader against the Giants. The 35-year-old veteran hasn’t pitched in the big leagues since the 2024 campaign after missing all of last year recovering from flexor tendon surgery. He’s made 322 career appearances in the majors dating back to 2016.

Diamondbacks optioned LHP Kohl Drake to Triple-A Reno.

Drake earns a ticket back to the minors after allowing five runs over four innings against the Giants on Friday night. The 26-year-old lefty has struggled to an inflated 6.53 ERA across 20 2/3 innings over five starts for Arizona this season. He’s one of the organization’s better pitching prospects, but he might not be ready to have an impact at the highest level.

Yankees signed OF Jarred Kelenic to a minor league contract.

Kelenic heads to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre as organizational depth for the final month of the season. It would be extremely surprising if he wound up making it to New York given their present outfield depth that doesn’t include Aaron Judge (rib) coming back from the injured list. The 27-year-old former top prospect has hit .219 (16-for-73) with one homer and six RBI in 36 games between the Rangers and White Sox this season.

Emerson Hancock is dealing with a left groin injury.

Hancock remained in the contest to allow five runs over five innings after tweaking his left groin while making a diving tag in the first inning of Friday’s start against the Blue Jays. It certainly appears that the physical issue adversely impacted his performance. It sounds like there’s optimism the issue isn’t serious and that he’ll be able to make his next against the Red Sox on Wednesday. There should be a better idea of his status coming out of the weekend.

Jameson Taillon (forearm) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Tuesday.

Taillon came out of Friday’s 48-pitch minor league rehab start for Triple-A Buffalo without any issues. He’ll throw a bullpen session next week before the Blue Jays determine his next steps. The 34-year-old veteran hit the injured list with forearm tendinitis earlier this month after just two starts with Toronto.

Marlins recalled RHP Wikelman González from Triple-A Jacksonville.

González receives his first opportunity with Miami after being claimed off waivers from the White Sox earlier this month. The 24-year-old didn’t end up pitching for Chicago this season after posting a respectable 2.66 ERA and 25/12 K/BB ratio across 20 1/3 innings over 16 relief appearances as a rookie last year. He was designated for assignment after struggling for a couple months at Triple-A to open the year.

Marlins optioned LHP Patrick Monteverde to Triple-A Jacksonville.

Monteverde returns to the minors after allowing four runs over four innings during a long relief outing against the Nationals on Friday. The 28-year-old figures to make it back to Miami at some point in the final month.

Cardinals recalled LHP Brycen Mautz from Triple-A Memphis.

Mautz provides St. Louis with some length out of the bullpen after losing a pair of starters in Hunter Dobbins (forearm) and Andre Pallante (elbow) to the injured list recently. The 25-year-old made one relief appearance for the Cardinals back in late May. He’s posted a pedestrian 3.78 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 89/65 K/BB ratio across 85 2/3 innings at the Triple-A level this season.
