Kyle Harrison recorded eight strikeouts and yielded one run over five innings on Monday against the Rays.
Harrison generated a career-high 16 swinging strikes and needed an economical 87 pitches (64 strikes) to navigate five frames in his Milwaukee debut. A leadoff homer by sizzling-hot Rays slugger Yandy Díaz accounted for all of the damage against him. The 24-year-old former top pitching prospect continues to impress, aided by increased fastball velocity and the addition of a new kick changeup. He should be rostered in all fantasy formats based on his recent performance and strikeout upside. He’ll face the Royals on the road to close out a two-start week on Sunday afternoon.

Miguel Andújar is starting at designated hitter and batting fifth against the Red Sox on Friday.
Andújar had the day off on Wednesday and has been alternating games a bit with Nick Castellanos to start the season. Andújar has gone 2-for-12 to start the season, which is exactly the same as Castellanos. For now, nobody is running away with the job.
Hyped prospect Griffin will make his MLB debut
James Schiano reacts to the announcement that the Pirates' No. 1 prospect Konnor Griffin will make his big league debut at Pittsburgh's home opener and analyzes his 'massive' upside.
  • SD Catcher #12
Luis Campusano is catching and batting ninth against the Red Sox on Friday.
Campusano hasn’t played since Monday, but he’ll be in the lineup with Freddy Fermin getting the day off. Ferming has gone just 1-for-14 with four strikeouts to start the season, which may be opening the door for Campusano to get more at-bats.
  • CWS Left Fielder #29
Tristan Peters is starting in right field and batting seventh against the Blue Jays on Friday.
This is now Peters’ sixth straight start. He has switched between right field and center field, but has been a constant in the White Sox lineup. He’s 5-for-15 with one run scored, one steal, and a 6/2 K/BB ratio in those six starts. That’s not much value to bring to your fantasy team unless you’re in a deep, AL-only league.
  • BOS Relief Pitcher #76
Red Sox recalled RHP Zack Kelly from Triple-A Worcester.
With Garrett Whitlock headed to the paternity list, Zack Kelly will come up to take his place. Kelly had a 4.58 ERA in 35 1/3 innings for the Red Sox last year and could only be up for the weekend.
  • BOS Relief Pitcher #22
Red Sox placed RHP Garrett Whitlock on the Paternity List.
Congrats to Garrett and his growing family. He’ll be out for the weekend series and should be back with the team on Monday.
  • BOS Starting Pitcher #79
Red Sox recalled RHP Tyler Uberstine from Triple-A Worcester.
With Johan Oviedo (elbow) headed to the IL, Uberstine will be called up to take his place as a multi-inning reliever. It’s an incredible moment for Uberstine, who has had a long road to get to the big leagues. He was not recruited out of high school and tried, and failed, to walk on to the University of South Carolina baseball team as a sophomore. He eventually spent two years at Northwestern, but appeared in only 13 total games. The Red Sox drafted him with their second-to-last pick in the 2021 MLB Draft, and then he blew out his elbow. He worked his way back and posted a 3.58 ERA and 27 percent strikeout rate in 120 2/3 innings between Double-A and Triple-A last year before impressing in spring training last month. If he gets into a game this weekend, it will be an emotional MLB debut.
  • DET Shortstop #7
Kevin McGonigle is batting leadoff against the Cardinals on Friday.
With Colt Keith out of the lineup, it will be McGonigle batting leadoff and playing third base. The 21-year-old is 8-for-22 to start the season with five RBIs. He has also appeared in four games at third base and three games at shortstop, so he may pick up dual eligibility soon in certain formats. That only adds to his value.
  • DET 2nd Baseman #33
Colt Keith is not in the starting lineup on Friday against the Cardinals.
The Cardinals are throwing a right-hander, so this seems like just a day off for Keith. It’s a bit unfortunate because the 24-year-old is off to a hot start and has shown some increased bat speed so far this season. Zach McKinstry will enter the starting lineup at second base and bat sixth. Hopefully, if Keith continues hitting well, the Tigers will give him fewer days off. He’s still a player we like to add in fantasy leagues right now.
  • BOS Starting Pitcher #29
Red Sox placed RHP Johan Oviedo on the 15-day IL with a right elbow strain.
This has been coming for a couple of weeks now. Oviedo’s velocity was way down in his final spring training appearance and remained down during the regular season. He has already had one major elbow surgery, so there is some elevated concern here. He will visit with Dr. Keith Meister on Monday to compare MRI results with the ones taken when Dr. Meister performed Oviedo’s Tommy John surgery in 2023. This is a tough break for a pitcher who recently seemed primed to win a spot in the Red Sox rotation.
  • KC Catcher #22
Carter Jensen was scratched from the starting lineup on Thursday when he overslept.
Vinnie Pasquantino said after the game that the team was worried about Jensen’s well-being because nobody knew where he was. The team even tried to get in touch with his family to see if they had heard from him. Fortunately, he just overslept, so this could simply become a valuable learning experience for the rookie. When asked about it, Jensen said he had “no excuses” and that he will “learn from it” and not let his teammates down again.
