Samuel Basallo is dealing with a shoulder issue, which means Tromp is likely to see some time behind the plate this week. He’s appeared in 13 games between the Orioles and Braves this season.

Basallo suffered a right shoulder injury in Sunday’s win over the Astros. This is the second time this summer that Basallo appeared to grab his arm in discomfort after a swing. He didn’t miss time the first time it happened, but it’s unclear if that will be the case now. Coby Mayo will DH and bat fifth, and Christian Encarnacion-Strand will start at third base and bat eighth.

Rutschman has missed the last two games with a wrist injury, even though the team doesn’t expect its catcher to be out for long. The Red Sox are also going to throw three left-handed pitchers in this series, which might impact some of Rutschman’s playing time. Sam Huff will start behind the dish and bat ninth on Monday.
