The instant elevation to the 60-day IL means we won’t see García again until the later stages of the season, if at all. He hit .195/.270/.329 with seven homers and three stolen bases for the Phillies in 259 plate appearances. Derek Hill’s acquisition seemed to signal that García was due for an IL stint, but the long-term nature of it means Hill will likely carry his role for most of the rest of the season.

Durbin was removed from Wednesday’s game after suffering a subluxation on his left pinky. The 26-year-old is good to go for the series opener against New York and will hit in the middle of the lineup against Cam Schlittler and the Yankees’ bullpen.

Yoho gets the boot with Abner Uribe back with Milwaukee. It comes after Yoho allowed three runs over an inning of work during Wednesday’s game, but it seems pretty likely that the 26-year-old hurler will get another chance to help the Brew Crew bullpen before the end of the year.

Duarte takes the roster spot of David Peterson after Peterson was traded to the Cubs. There’s a good chance this is a very short stint for the 29-year-old, as the Mets are expected to call up Zach Thornton to start Friday’s game to replace Peterson in the rotation.

Mauricio was optioned to Triple-A after being activated from the injured list before Wednesday’s game, but because Marcus Semien was placed on the 10-day injured list, the 25-year-old is able to join the Mets. He likely will see time up the middle in Semien’s absence, but there should be better fantasy options in the majority of leagues than Mauricio, respectfully.

Semien’s injury comes a bit out of nowhere, and the 35-year-old veteran will now be out of action for at least a week-plus; likely longer as flexor strains don’t often suggest a minimum stint on the injured list. There should be further updates on Semien in the coming days,, but for now, Ronny Mauricio is up from Triple-A to take his place on the roster and potentially in the lineup.

The contract limit would be five years for free agent players switching teams, and six years for players who choose to re-sign with their team. New acquisitions would be have a max salary of 15 percent of the cap in the first year. The max deal in 2027 would be five years, $202 million. The proposal also calls for an elimination for deferrals; a contention that has been brought up after the significant money deferred to players like Shohei Ohtani and Kyle Tucker over the last few years. The qualifying offer would also be removed in this new system, and players would be able to reach free agency in five years if they would have turned 30 years or older. The MLBPA will likely have a response to these proposals shortly.

Caminero hit his 17th and 18th homers of the year off Seth Lugo and then added No. 19 off infielder Tyler Tolbert in the eighth. That last was a three-run shot, giving him six RBI for the second time in his career. Caminero is now tied for 10th in the majors in homers, and he’s 14th with an .896 OPS. He’s probably not going to match last year’s total of 45 homers, but he’s already exceeded last year’s 41 walks, with 45 to date, and his OBP is currently up 66 points from 2025 (.377 to .311).

Casey Legumina retired all four batters he faced before Seymour entered, so this remained a no-hitter until the ninth, when Craig Kimbrel gave up a two-run homer to Carter Jensen. Seymour struck out seven and walked only one. Just two of the balls in play against him were hit hard. The win is his first in four outings since the Rays transitioned him into a starter/bulk guy, but he’s pitched pretty well in amassing a 2.84 ERA and a 19/5 K/BB in 19 innings. His ERA still stands at 4.32 overall, but he’s an option in deeper leagues as long as the Rays keep using him in this fashion. He’ll face the Royals again next week.

Coming into June, Lugo had allowed three homers in a game just twice in his career. Now he’s done it twice this month, as he also gave up three to the Twins three weeks ago. Lugo’s still had more good starts than bad this year, but that he’s given up seven runs twice and five runs twice has inflated his ERA to 4.18. He’ll face the Rays again at home next week.

Aranda has hit in nine straight games and driven in a run in three in a row. He’s 10th in the majors with his 54 RBI on the season.
