Throughout this NBA season, accurate daily fantasy information has been tough to come by, especially for basketball. CO-VID scratches, late news, etc. It’s been a nightmare! I did some thinking on how to produce the most accurate DFS write-up given the fact that the most prudent DFS information is typically released 30 minutes to one hour prior to lock. Enter. “THE GPP Pivot”. This article will focus on one great GPP pivot play.
The GPP Pivot of the Night
Dennis Schroder - Boston Celtics (vs. New Orleans Pelicans)
The Boston Celtics are facing a New Orleans Pelicans team tonight that could potentially be without Jonas Valanciunas and Devonte’ Graham while Brandon Ingram is already confirmed out. The Celtics on the other hand are the healthiest they’ve been in quite some time. Yet, Boston is only a -5.5 point favorite. The Celtics are my top selection of the night for conventional gambling but they also carry daily fantasy significance. Garrett Temple and Josh Hart will have major issues maintaining Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum. Robert Williams will have an advantage if Valanciunas hits the bench but even if Jonas plays, Robert Williams is a big body capable of maintaining ew Orleans’ big man. Marcus Smart will start the game but I think targeting Dennis Schroder is the move. Schroder has proven capable of defending Devonte Graham. Graham has faced Boston one time this season. In this matchup, Graham played 33 minutes shooting just 28.6% from the field totaling 11 points. Dennis Schroder was the starting guard in this matchup, not Smart. He played 41 minutes, shot 8-16 totaling 23 points, nine assists, and five rebounds (two steals to boot) Dennis Schroder is The GPP Pivot of the Night. He likely will not start but expect high production at low percentages off the bench. Schroder has had four pretty horrible outings over his last four games. He has averaged 16.37 DK PPG over those last four. Prior to these poor games, he had two FP totals of 47.25 in back-to-back games against Charlotte and yup you guessed it, New Orleans. Some might look towards Boston’s starting PG but tonight, I’d recommend investing in backup PG Dennis Schroder tonight at hopefully below 10% roster percentages.
