  • FA Running Back #33

NFL suspended Giants RB Andre Brown four games for violating the league’s policy against performance enhancers.
Running back increasingly is becoming a major need area for the G-Men. Brown, 25, was set to make a hard push for a roster spot after battling injuries his first three seasons in the league. For his career, Brown has only two rushes in four appearances. The Giants may look early in the draft for a running back, perhaps eyeballing Boise State’s Doug Martin at No. 32.
  • BAL Defensive End #98

Ravens acquired EDGE Maxx Crosby from the Raiders in exchange for 2026 and 2027 first-round picks.
It isn’t quite the “Parsons-like trade package,” but it isn’t too far off. Years of being a good solider while playing for one of the league’s more embattled franchises landed Crosby with a perennial contender in the Ravens in exchange for two first round picks in the next two drafts. Crosby, 28, will now join newly minted head coach and defensive guru Jesse Minter in Baltimore, joining a defense that ranked 18th in points allowed and 24th in yards allowed. The Ravens will immediately benefit from adding one of the league’s top Iron Men to the league in Crosby, who has played in 15 or more games in six of his seven seasons in the league, while playing on 900-plus defensive snaps in five of those seasons. Crosby totaled 10 sacks and 28 TFLs for the Raiders last season while also forcing two fumbles and breaking up another six passes. The Cowboys, who reportedly offered a first and second-round pick for Crosby’s services narrowly missed out on landing the star pass-rusher, and will likely look to address the Micah Parsons-sized hole on their defense in free agency in the coming days.
TE Smith can regain fantasy value with right team
No longer part of an "ugly" fantasy situation with the Steelers, Denny Carter lays out why tight end Jonnu Smith could regain his fantasy "viability" with the right offense in 2026.
  • MIN Running Back #36
Vikings re-signed exclusive rights free agent Zavier Scott to a one-year deal.
Scott managed a 32/114 line on the ground, adding 14 catches for 98 yards and a score on 16 targets, as Minnesota’s third-string back last year. He’s currently in line for the No. 2 role behind Jordan Mason with Aaron Jones expected to be released or traded. Scott probably doesn’t have much standalone fantasy value right now, but his first year certainly showed he has something to offer in the passing game.
  • PHI Outside Linebacker #50
ESPN’s Tim McManus believes the “expectation” is the Eagles will make a push to re-sign EDGE Jaelan Phillips.
Phillips came over in a midseason trade from Miami and had a great half-year in Philadelphia, posting a 77.1 PFF defensive grade in nine games. The Eagles stand to net a high compensatory pick if Phillips leaves, but it seems like they’d rather just keep the player.
  • NO Quarterback #2
ESPN’s Katherine Terrell reports the Saints haven’t received calls about Spencer Rattler’s trade value yet.
The 2024 fifth-rounder was playing fairly well before he was unceremoniously benched for Tyler Shough. With two years remaining on his contract and names like Tyson Bagent being bandied about, it’s a little surprising nobody has touched base on Rattler just yet. The Saints don’t seem to be in any rush to break up their quarterback room, with Kellen Moore saying he “could not ask for a better QB room to handle the dynamics of one guy starting another guy supporting him and then flipping roles.”
  • NO Tight End #7
ESPN’s Katherine Terrell reports that whether Taysom Hill retires or plays in 2026 “remains unclear.”
Hill’s contract will void when the league year kicks off, making him a free agent. Given the send off that he received towards the end of the season (Sean Payton), it would be surprising (Sean Payton coaches the Broncos) if Hill returned to New Orleans. Entering his age-36 season (The Broncos could sign Taysom Hill), Hill figures to have a limited market (Sean Payton loves Taysom Hill) as a free agent. (Might look good in orange and blue.) We’ll see what the future holds for him. (Sean Payton is calling Taysom Hill as you read this blurb.)
  • FA Quarterback #4
ESPN’s Katherine Terrell believes Derek Carr could net the Saints somewhere from a third- to fifth-round pick in a trade if he unretires.
We’d bet heavily on the lower end of this given how Carr would likely want additional compensation in a reworked contract to unretire, but it’s worth noting given how many teams remain quarterbackless. As of the combine, Mike Florio reported he’d heard of no teams interested in trading for Carr.
  • DAL Running Back #24
ESPN’s Todd Archer reports that Miles Sanders will not return to the Cowboys.
The Cowboys are pleased with Malik Davis, Jaydon Blue, and Phil Mafah backing up Javonte Williams. Sanders went to season-ending injured reserve in October with a knee/ankle injury. Entering his age-29 season, he’ll likely have to fight to make a roster in 2026.
  • DEN Running Back #28
Broncos re-signed exclusive rights free agent Tyler Badie to a one-year contract.
That will make at least one more season of Badie cutting into RJ Harvey’s workload on third down. Badie played on 223 snaps in 2025 and the Broncos passed on 207 of them. Expect some catches, is what we’re saying.
  • TB Running Back #1
ESPN’s Michael DiRocco believes Rachaad White and Kenneth Gainwell “make sense” as replacements for Travis Etienne Jr.
It’s the first sniff of free agency buzz we’ve gotten on White, which goes to show you how few teams view him as a top-line back. However, DiRocco believes White could fit in as a great screen-pass catcher and could share the workload with incumbent Bhayshul Tuten. Gainwell could also fit into that role. Overall this is a very encouraging report for Tuten’s fantasy value, as it doesn’t seem like the Jaguars want to put a major obstacle ahead of him on the depth chart.
  • CLE Safety #33
Browns placed the second-round tender on restricted free-agent S Ronnie Hickman.
It guarantees him a $5.8 million salary. Hickman played a career-high 1,042 snaps in 2025, even playing down in the box more than he used to, and came up with a career-high 75.3 PFF coverage grade. A signing team would have to offer the Browns a second-round pick to sign Hickman, making it extremely unlikely he’ll move this offseason.
