Raiders CB Phillip Adams has suffered two concussions in the past three games.

He should be considered out indefinitely. Raiders management had high hopes for Adams when they claimed him off waivers from Seattle in early September, and he wound up overtaking Ronald Bartell at right cornerback. Oakland won’t be able to continue to rely on Adams due to his proneness to concussions.

Michael Mayer caught his lone target for two yards in the Raiders’ Week 5 loss to the Patriots.

Mayer and the rest of the Vegas pass catchers took a backseat to Brock Bowers, who had a team-leading ten targets for 110 yards and a touchdown before the Raiders pulled their starters in the fourth quarter of this blowout loss. Mayer was fresh off an 82-yard outing (on ten targets) against Kansas City. He should remain on waivers ahead of Week 6’s game against the Bills.

Kendre Miller rushed 10 times for 30 yards in the Saints’ Week 5 loss to the Vikings.

Miller led the backfield in carries, giving up three to Alvin Kamara and two to C.J. Donaldson. Kamara saw the most targets at two, but Donaldson led the way in snaps. This is a true three-headed monster of a backfield, but Miller has at least settled in as the primary early-down option. With game script likely on his side versus the Giants in Week 6, Miller will be a low-end RB3.

Deshaun Watson completed 15-of-33 passes for 155 yards and a touchdown in the Browns’ 17-12, Week 5 loss to the Jets, adding six rushes for 40 yards.

Tre Tucker caught 4-of-5 targets for 41 yards in the Raiders’ Week 5 loss to the Patriots, adding two rushes for -7 yards.

Tucker’s two rushing attempts were blown up in the backfield. He was third on the team in targets, trailing Brock Bowers and Ashton Jeanty. Tucker, who usually operates as the team’s primary downfield option, should have some appeal in Week 6 against Buffalo in what could be a high-scoring game. He has at least four receptions in four of five games this season.

Tyjae Spears rushed two times for zero yards, adding nine catches for 28 yards on nine targets, in Tennessee’s Week 5 loss to the Texans.

He fumbled away one of his rushes, but with the Titans trailing for most of the second half, piled up nine catches as Cam Ward sought refuge from Houston’s pass rush. His final catch of the day — we’re not kidding — came as Ward threw it at him despite Spears having already crumpled to the ground. It lost six yards. Given the Colts likely won’t do this against the Titans next week, Spears is probably not going to keep lines like this going.

Joe Burrow completed 23-of-32 passes for 190 yards and four touchdowns in the Bengals’ 31-24, Week 5 win over the Dolphins.

The Bengals offense mostly had a smooth-sailing day against the lackadaisical Dolphins defense. After a high-volume Week 4, Burrow threw 32 passes, tossing touchdowns to Mike Gesicki, Samaje Perine, and Tanner Hudson in the first half. He just missed Ja’Marr Chase for a 70-yard score in the second half, but later connected with Chase for a 45-yard score in the third quarter. Burrow was hardly under pressure and had plenty of time to make accurate throws and take deep shots against Miami. He is a fantasy QB1 heading into the Bengals’ bye and gets a middling defense in the Ravens for Week 7.

Dylan Laube had four rushes for nine yards and a touchdown in the Raiders’ Week 5 loss to the Patriots, adding three receptions for 16 yards.

Laube functioned as the team’s No. 2 back behind Ashton Jeanty, who battled through foot and ankle issues on his way to 77 scoreless yards against New England. Mike Washington, meanwhile, had one rushing attempt and did not catch a pass. If Jeanty misses time this season it might be Laube who leads the Vegas backfield in touches. He can be stashed in deeper formats headed into Week 6.
