Sources tell NBC4 that Mike Shanahan interviewed for the Raiders head coaching vacancy.
Shanahan has also garnered interest from the Bills and 49ers. The Oakland interview with Mark Davis and other team officials is a bit of a surprise as Shanny’s first go-around with the organization was a short-lived disaster. He clashed with Al Davis and was fired just four games into his second season as coach (1989). Time has obviously healed wounds. The Raiders have also been linked to Tony Sparano, Jack Del Rio, Pat Shurmur, Eric Mangini, Todd Bowles, Pep Hamilton, Scott Linehan and Darrell Bevell.
