Lynch would be owed $9 million, a number which would take up a large chunk of Seattle’s remaining $14.7 million cap space. The Seahawks could hold Lynch in an effort to extract a draft pick from the Raiders, but doing so would limit their flexibility in the second and third waves of free agency. If Lynch does come back, Kapadia believes the Seahawks will “most likely” release him.

The Vikings spent a lot of energy having a pretend quarterback competition between McCarthy and Kyler Murray this offseason, but at least it kept them fresh for this second pretend competition where McCarthy will push Wentz for second-team duties. McCarthy is an obvious trade candidate and it would be surprising if he was higher than the third-team quarterback to open the season in Minnesota. One of these quarterbacks is more reliable than the other and somehow that quarterback is Carson Wentz.

Kyle Shanahan indicated Evans should be back to practice next week before leaving for Australia. The line between “Evans is being treated very carefully” and “Evans is always hurt” has been blurred for a few years now, but it doesn’t seem like he’s in any danger of missing time yet.

It’ll be a total redshirt year for the 64th overall pick. Seattle also placed OL Mason Richman on injured reserve.

His last real chance to start came when the Chiefs turned to him in 2024 and he was disastrous there, though admittedly he was playing through a hamstring injury. He’s a veteran depth add here as the Commanders try to muddle through life without Laremy Tunsil.

The 30-year-old veteran who missed all of last season due to a hip injury was released from the Giants’ competition in June and caught on with the Jets afterwards. “Jets kicker” is not traditionally a very valuable fantasy role, and this year, that will probably remain the case.

Olave walked off under his own power with trainers. Saints coach Kellen Moore said Olave is “all good” and that he got the wind knocked out of him. We wouldn’t be surprised if he got a practice off, but there’s no cause for concern here.

“We’ll have to work him in slowly,” Reich concluded. Sadiq has plenty of upside, but it doesn’t sound like he needs to be on the redraft radar early in the year unless you play in a deep enough league to make stashing him worthwhile.

Not a surprising update but sadly also not a helpful one. It does sound like Jeanty is going to avoid the PUP list based on what we’ve seen over the past few days following the Sunday ankle injury, but it doesn’t sound like he’s any lock to play in Week 1 either. Coaches aren’t required to talk about the injury report before the regular season starts. Mike Washington would likely slide into the main role if Jeanty is unavailable in Week 1.
