Packers declared DL Devonte Wyatt, OT Rasheed Walker, OL Sean Rhyan, WR Samori Toure, and DL Jonathan Ford inactive for Week 5 against the Giants.

Wyatt, a first-round selection from Georgia, only has 28 snaps on defense this year. He appeared to suffer a quad injury in practice, going from a limited participant on Wednesday to consecutive DNPs on Thursday and Friday. The Packers can afford to give him some time off given his limited usage so far.

Free agent RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire visited the Dolphins on Tuesday.

*polite chuckle* Oh Dolphins, you’ve really done it this time. There wouldn’t seem to be a real spot for Edwards-Helaire as a backup with Ollie Gordon and Jaylen Wright already here. Edwards-Helaire has not seen 100 carries in a season since 2021 and was somehow irrelevant even in the Chiefs backfield last year.
What Kraft on PUP list means for fantasy outlook
Patrick Daugherty and Kyle Dvorchak discuss the fantasy implications for Packers TE Tucker Kraft as he begins camp on the PUP list while rehabbing from an ACL tear in Week 9 of 2025.

Texans placed Jaylin Noel on the active/NFI list.

We don’t have a good indication of what happened to Noel yet, only that it occurred outside of the facility. Texans GM Nick Caserio will speak to the press tomorrow and we presume this will be asked. It’s not an ideal start to camp for Noel, to put it mildly.

NBC Houston’s Aaron Wilson reports “all involved” are encouraged by Tank Dell’s outlook heading into camp.

Dell notably was not placed on the active/PUP list today as the Texans reported, which means he’ll be dialed up right away in training camp. Wilson adds that Dell “continues to make major strides” and is “regaining explosiveness, cutting ability and strength.” Dell enters training camp as a sleeper, but he’s got a chance to have a real fantasy role this season with a big camp.

Packers placed EDGE Micah Parsons (knee) on the active/PUP list.

Parsons is unlikely to return before Week 4, the question ahead of us appears to be if it’ll be Week 4 or Week 5. If it’s Week 5, Parsons can be stored on the reserve/PUP list ahead of the season. This timeline has been a consistent drum beat coming out of the Packers since March, so this placement comes as no surprise.

Bills placed WR Tyrell Shavers (knee) on the active/PUP list.

After tearing his ACL in early January, Shavers is a good bet to wind up on reserve/PUP at the conclusion of training camp.

ESPN’s Daniel Oyefusi believes it’s a “likely outcome” that the Browns will make a quarterback trade at last cuts.

Dillon Gabriel is the player left off their 53-man roster projection by Oyefusi entering camp, with Taylen Green getting the QB3 gig for the Browns. There’s been smoke around dealing Gabriel for most of the offseason, but it doesn’t seem like anyone is all that interested in the 2025 third-round pick just yet. It does seem likely he’ll be the one available here given the role that former head coach Kevin Stefanski had in the selection.

Bears placed LB T.J. Edwards (calf) on the active/PUP list.

“We don’t see that as anything major,” Bears GM Ryan Poles said. “Shouldn’t be too long with that.” Edwards was injured working out on his own. He looks to be fully recovered from last season’s injuries, so we’ll see if he can put together a full season in 2026.

    Packers signed K Lenny Krieg.

They released K Lucas Havrisik from the roster for Krieg, who will now push (somehow a real name and not an invention of the Jim Rome Show) Trey Smack for kicker duties in Green Bay this offseason. Smack, who was a sixth-round pick this past offseason, is likely the favorite.

Bears placed EDGE Montez Sweat on the active/NFI list.

Multiple reports have said that this won’t be a long stay. Sweat lead the team with 10 sacks last year. Assuming he is indeed activated soon, Sweat should have plenty of time to be ready for the start of the season.

Saints GM Mickey Loomis said Chris Olave (clot) has no restrictions and is now “full go.”

Olave was on blood thinners after a blood clot was discovered in his lung prior to Week 18, and had been taking them throughout the offseason program. That’s all done. It’s hard to call Olave “safe” to draft due to the long-term concussion issues he’s dealt with, but he’s as good as he’s going to be. Olave said he felt a contract extension was going to happen “soon” in June, so that’s probably the next tidbit of news incoming on him before the season. Loomis said when asked of an extension that “We’re just not there yet” but “we want to get it done.”
