A native of Lebanon, Tennessee, Dowell (6'3/212) played his college ball at UT Martin, where he racked up 2,404 yards and 13 touchdowns on 155 receptions. Martin finally broke out in his final season with the Skyhawks, totaling 67 receptions for 1,36 yards and six scores while averaging 15.5 YPC. Boasting 4.42 speed and requisite height to play on the outside, Dowell hauled in an impressive 63.2 percent of his contested targets in his final season while averaging a career-high 3.11 YPRR. With a 9.4 percent drop rate to his name, Dowell will need to improve his hands as he develops at the next level.

This news comes from NBC Houston’s Aaron Wilson. Dell’s participation on Monday is a notable step in his recovery as the fourth-year receiver continues to work his way back from a devastating knee injury that ended his 2024 season and sidelined him for all of 2025. Head coach DeMeco Ryans said last week that the team is planning to take its time bringing Dell back, but it appears he is making good progress with a few weeks still left in camp. Whether or not Dell will be ready for Week 1 remains up in the air, but he’s clearly trending in the right direction.

Bieniemy took an indefinite leave of absence early in camp after his wife, Mia, was shot while inside the couple’s home. She was reported to be in stable condition at the time of the shooting and seems to be doing well in her recovery, which likely prompted Bieniemy’s decision to return.

While Smith’s injury isn’t believed to be serious, the Eagles are clearly taking their time with their new WR1. Smith has been sidelined for nearly a week and will remain on the sidelines to begin the third week of camp. If Smith can begin ramping things up closer to the start of the season, it will be safe to assume he’ll be good to go for Week 1.

Pacheco is expected to serve as the backup to Jahmyr Gibbs. He has missed the last few days of practice due to his injury, but Campbell doesn’t appear overly concerned about his availability when it comes to the start of the season. Speaking to the media on Monday, Campbell said: “We feel pretty good about him being ready to go, especially when the season gets here.” As far as fantasy is concerned, Pacheco shouldn’t be viewed as anything more than a handcuff to Gibbs.

The Lions sought to upgrade at center this offseason and went out and signed Mays to a three-year, $25 million contract. Now, the 27-year-old lineman is expected to be sidelined for the next 8-10 weeks after fracturing a small bone in his wrist, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Campbell said that the injury is not believed to be season-ending, but it’s still a major blow to the offensive line. Third-year lineman Michael Niese is listed behind Mays on the depth chart and will presumably get the first crack at taking over in his absence.

Arnold met with the Seahawks on Sunday and also met with the Texans last month. The former No. 24 overall pick is in search of a new home following his release from the Lions and is facing felony kidnapping and armed robbery charges. It seems unlikely that Arnold signs with a team until his legal troubles are behind him, but there are plenty of teams willing to take him on if he is cleared.

The Patriots selected Wallace with the 68th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, but now, the third-year vet will hit waivers in hopes of continuing his career elsewhere. Injuries have taken their toll on Wallace early in his career. He’s been limited to just 10 games since entering the league and has made only two starts. Wherever he lands next, Wallace will likely have to make the roster as added depth in hopes of eventually playing his way into a more meaningful role.

Tunsil suffered a torn triceps on Saturday and is at risk of missing most or all of the regular season. Quinn said the team hopes to have a better sense of his recovery timeline after his surgery, but for now, the Commanders are set to move forward with third-year lineman Brandon Coleman as their starting left tackle. Coleman has spent all of camp competing with Chris Paul for the starting left guard spot, but started 12 games at left tackle for the Commanders in 2024.

One of the beneficiaries of Drake Maye’s 2025 breakout campaign was Henry, who caught 60 passes and seven touchdowns while posting a career-high 768 receiving yards. Henry, 31, has spent the last five seasons with the Patriots and has been a reliable producer for them in the passing game and has always been reliable as a run blocker. His new deal will keep him under contract through the 2028 season. Henry profiles as a mid-TE2 in fantasy this season and has produced 13 top-12 PPR weeks since 2024.

It’s not the worst-case scenario, but fantasy managers were likely hoping for a better recovery timeline. The talented second-year player has consistently drawn rave reviews since spring practices. Bears coach Ben Johnson recently compared Burden’s dogged mindset to players he previously coached, including Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown and former Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry, noting Burden wants to be “the most conditioned player on the team, and one of the strongest receivers on the team.” Burden will undoubtedly do everything he can to be ready for Week 1, but treating him as questionable to play in the season opener is the prudent move for now.
