ESPN’s Dan Graziano reports the Vikings “made an effort” to re-sign EDGE Danielle Hunter earlier this offseason.

This doesn’t mean a deal with Hunter won’t get done before free agency opens up, but with the team also attempting to re-sign Kirk Cousins and extend Justin Jefferson, it’s possible Hunter at least makes it to the open market. Jeremy Fowler added that teams are expecting Hunter to seek a deal that pays “well north of $20 million per year,” which would make him amongst the highest paid EDGE rushers i the league. Hunter tallied a career-high 16.5 sacks with the Vikings last season and has totaled 87.5 sacks through his first eight seasons in the league. Hunter will be 29 at the start of next season, and should have no trouble fetching a lucrative deal should he and the Vikings not come to terms on a contract in the coming weeks.

Bengals WR Colbie Young (knee) practiced in full on Thursday.

Young is on track to face the Dolphins in Week 5. His return comes at the right time. Ja’Marr Chase is in the NFL’s concussion protocol and Tee Higgins (adductor/neck) is sidelined.
'Forge ahead' with Daniels on fantasy lineup
Patrick Daugherty and Denny Carter ask and answer - does Jayden Daniels have to be played? The quarterback returns after three weeks out with injury, and stakes are high.

Chris Olave (foot) was added to the injury report on Thursday.

It is tough to say when exactly the injury happened. This is bizarre. Olave took a hard hit to the lower body late in Week 4 and subbed himself out for the team’s final possession. He did not practice on Wednesday. The team listed it as a rest day, and New Orleans Football’s Nick Underhill reported that coach Kellen Moore clarified three times that Olave’s Wednesday absence was not injury-related. Olave resumed practicing in a limited capacity on Thursday with a foot injury. If this injury occurred in-game, he should be considered likely to play. If it occurred in practice today, he would be firmly in the questionable column. Stay tuned.

Chris Brooks (ankle) did not practice on Thursday.

Matt LaFleur said earlier this morning that they were going to “give him another day and see where he’s at tomorrow and make a decision after that.” It sounds like there’s still a chance Brooks could play in Week 5, but he’ll likely be on the questionable line on Friday.

Jaylen Wright (foot) was limited in Thursday’s practice.

It’s unclear if this was related to the foot that was giving Wright problems earlier this year, but a mid-week downgrade is never great news for a player. Wright has a real chance to miss Week 5. We’ll probably have a better sign of how likely it is that he plays Friday morning if no national reporters pick up the story earlier than that.

Rachaad White (shoulder) was limited in Thursday’s practice.

He looks to be on track to return to the backfield in Week 5. What percentage of carries that leaves him in a post-Ekeler world appears to be open to interpretation. We would not recommend starting him in any reasonably-sized league.

Rico Dowdle (toe) was limited on Thursday.

Dowdle now has two limited practice sessions under his belt. He remains in the questionable column for the Steelers’ Week 5 game against the Colts, but a return from his multi-week injury is possible. If active, Dowdle would likely be an RB3/FLEX

Jacory Croskey-Merritt (groin) was limited in Thursday’s practice.

He remains on track to play, but the workload he’ll get remains more uncertain after the Commanders re-divvied carries in England last Sunday. Croskey-Merritt would make for a shaky FLEX play in Week 5.

Chig Okonkwo (hamstring) was limited in Thursday’s practice.

With Terry McLaurin and Stefon Diggs both absent for a second day in a row on Thursday, Okonkwo could catch some desperation TE1 steam on Friday. He seems on track to play and Jayden Daniels should provide a more reliable passing floor than he had last week.

Isaiah Likely (knee/groin) was limited on Thursday.

Likely is on track to face the Commanders’ fantasy-friendly defense in Week 5. Ideally, we will see him upgrade to full participation tomorrow. The Giants’ starting tight end warrants TE1 treatment thanks to his workload and plus matchup.

Cam Skattebo (shoulder) was limited on Thursday.

Skattebo was limited for the second day in a row, but he at least ditched his red non-contact jersey. The Giants’ lead running back should be good to go for Week 5 against the Commanders. He sits on the RB1/2 border once again.
