49ers hired Gus Bradley, formerly of the Colts, to their coaching staff.

The long-time defensive coordinator and former Jaguars head coach now lands in the Bay Area after spending the last three seasons as the Colts defensive coordinator. Bradley has worked with current 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh during stints in both Seattle and Jacksonville and will now have a chance to work with Saleh again this upcoming season. Bradley has had just one top 10 scoring defense in his last four seasons. His previous experience as a linebackers coach in the college ranks could hint at the type of role he’ll serve in this upcoming season.

Trent McDuffie (groin) is questionable to play in Week 6 against the Cardinals.

McDuffie reportedly injured his groin during Thursday’s practice, and is now questionable to play. Frankly, the Rams can probably get by without their No. 1 cornerback this week, though obviously it would be preferable to have him out there. Stay tuned.
Simms eyeing a pair of Overs for Week 6 best bets
Chris Simms and Connor Rogers reveal their best bets for Week 6, with Simms eyeing a pair of Overs and Rogers putting faith in the Bills, 49ers and Steelers.

Josh Simmons (back) won’t play in Kansas City’s Week 6 game against the Chargers.

Simmons did actually practice this week, so he’s trending in the right direction, but Khalil Benson gets another start while Simmons tries to get past a bulging disc in his back.

Buccaneers ruled out Antoine Winfield (ribs) for Week 6 against the Steelers.

Winfield’s absence is consequential. The centerfield prowler makes an impact when he is in the game. The Steelers should have a slightly easier time moving the ball against the Buccaneers this week.

Rashee Rice (hamstring) won’t play in Kansas City’s Week 6 game against the Chargers.

It seems like Xavier Worthy and Travis Kelce will be getting Only Game In Town treatment against the Chargers, with Cyrus Allen and Jalen Royals also in the mix at wideout now that Rice and Tyquan Thornton are both out. Andy Reid said Rice is “wanting to jump in on everything” but he did not practice this week. He has to be regarded as questionable for Week 7.

FOX Sports’ Greg Auman reports that Sean Tucker (quad) will be a pregame decision for Week 6 against the Steelers.

We expect to see Tucker officially listed as questionable to play when the injury report drops later today. If he ends up being inactive, that is good news for Bucky Irving, who handled 23 touches last week, ceding seven to Kenny Gainwell and five to Tucker. Irving warrants borderline RB1/2 treatment at this time.

Alvin Kamara (back) is questionable for New Orleans’ Week 6 game against the Giants.

Kamara practiced each day this week, so it’s a bit surprising to see him here. Assuming no rough quotes or reports come out, we’d regard him as on the optimistic side of questionable. He’s a reasonable FLEX play against the Giants.

Chris Olave (illness) is questionable for New Orleans’ Week 6 game against the Giants.

Olave missed the first two days of practice this week with the illness, but we’d ultimately still expect him to play. He should be regarded as on the optimistic side of questionable. He’ll be an easy WR1, assuming he plays, against the Giants in Week 6.

Cam Jurgens (concussion) will not play in Baltimore’s Week 6 game against the Browns.

Jurgens has now missed each of his first two weeks with the Ravens as he tries to shake a brain injury he suffered while with the Eagles. Vega Ioane will likely man center again.

Tytus Howard (knee) is not on Cleveland’s final Week 6 injury report.

His Wednesday DNP suggested worse, but Howard will try to play through the knee injury that cost him roughly half of Cleveland’s snaps against the Jets last week.

Denzel Boston (foot) is not on Cleveland’s final Week 6 injury report.

He’ll be a usable WR3 against the Ravens this week. Boston has returned at least 41 yards in every start this year while hitting a deep gain seemingly weekly. The 22-year-old should be Cleveland’s No. 1 target again this week.
