NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers requested a trade amidst new contract negotiations.
Rapsheet notes that Meyers recently requested a trade while the two sides were negotiating a new contract, which was denied by the team. “The team, citing his value, said they had not plans (to trade him),” Rapoport adds. The two sides attempted to negotiate a new contract but were unable to come to terms, leaving the veteran wide receiver to play out the final year of his three-year, $33 million contract with the Raiders in 2025.
