Speaking to media Monday, Harbaugh stated that he was “very confident” in the perennial MVP’s status for Week 9 against the Dolphins on Thursday Night Football. The team has yet to release their initial injury report but it certainly sounds like Jackson is in line to return from a three-game absence, during which the team went 1-2. The improbable win over the Bears kept the team within striking distance in the AFC North, now two games behind the division-leading Steelers. A late-season surge is not out of the question in Baltimore, and a return from Jackson could be just what the team needs to make a run at the playoffs during the second half of the season.

According to ESPN’s Mike Reiss, Henderson slipped on the field while making a cut and left the field. The second-year back was reportedly getting his right foot/ankle/leg checked out by trainers, but we are still waiting for more information on his status. Henderson is expected to again find himself in a 50-50 backfield split with Rhamondre Stevenson this season, but any absence would immediately raise the weekly expectations for Stevenson for as long as Henderson is out. Hopefully this isn’t anything too serious, we will be sure to provide an update when we receive one.

Hubbard is still working his way back from a hamstring injury that has sidelined him since mid-August, but if the 27-year-old back is good to go, he is expected to see work alongside Jonathon Brooks, who seems to finally be healthy after an injury-plagued start to his first three years in the league. An RBBC situation would be a pain for fantasy managers to navigate during the early part of the season, but if it comes down to it, hopefully we will get an early sense of how Canales plans to deploy both backs so we can better understand their viability for fantasy purposes.

In an article published by ESPN’s Brooke Pryor, Pryor writes that a source familiar with the situation shared there “hasn’t been meaningful progress on extension talks.” The 26-year-old corner has spent all of training camp on the active/PUP list with a back injury, but we haven’t heard much about him since. Despite the current situation between Porter and the Steelers, the team said it has neither received nor made any trade calls regarding the star corner. Porter still needs to be activated off the PUP list in order to be ready for the start of the season.

According to an NBC4 article, York was arrested in East Palestine, Ohio, and found guilty of both charges after pleading no contest. NBC’s Matt Maiocco later reported that Ohio court records say York was charged with engaging in prostitution under statute 2907.231. York was ordered to spend two days in jail and pay $1,150 in fines. This is still a developing story, and York’s attorney and the Niners have not yet commented on the situation.

Multiple outlets reported on Monday that Deshaun Watson would be the starter for Week 1 against the Jaguars, with Sanders as the backup. Sanders was solid in his second preseason game, completing 9-of-11 passes for 74 yards, a touchdown, and an interception in one half of play, but this camp battle was always expected to work in Watson’s favor, barring an obvious breakout by Sanders in camp. While it’s not the result Sanders and his fantasy managers hoped for, Watson’s job is anything but secure. He’ll start in Week 1, but the veteran QB will likely be evaluated on a week-to-week basis, meaning head coach Todd Monken could turn the job over to Sanders at any point in time.

It’s yet another encouraging sign for Bell, who was activated off the PUP list last Monday after recovering from a torn ACL he suffered during his 2025 season at Louisville. The rookie third-rounder has been getting up to speed since making his return and could have a chance to contribute to the Dolphins’ offense later this season.

Ramsey was placed on the PUP list due to a knee injury he suffered in minicamp, but it never sounded like this would be something that could keep him out for an extended period of time. The 31-year-old corner will presumably resume practicing with the team this week and should be in good shape for Week 1’s game against the Falcons barring any setback.

It would appear that the winner of the kicking competition that took place in training camp between Tanner Brown and Charlie Smyth is the man who wasn’t there. Carlson, who has remained unsigned since his contract with the Raiders expired at the end of last season, is now expected to take over as the Saints’ starting kicker for the season. Currently the 10th-most accurate kicker in NFL history, Carlson converted 22-of-27 field goal attempts last season, with three of his misses coming from 50-plus yards. Carlson still possesses one of the biggest legs in the league and should benefit from kicking in the friendly confines of the Superdome this season.

We’ll eventually get word from head coach Todd Monken on the decision, but it sounds like Watson, who was the favorite to win the battle entering training camp, will get the first crack at the starting job. Watson completed 16-of-27 passes for no touchdowns and one interception in his two preseason appearances, and struggled in last week’s outing against the Bills while playing with backups. Despite being booed off the field after a disappointing performance in front of a home crowd, the 30-year-old vet, who is in the final year of a five-year, $230 million fully guaranteed contract, will get the chance to show he can lead the Browns in 2026. Watson shouldn’t be viewed as anything more than a low-end QB2 for fantasy purposes, but he has some exciting offensive weapons to throw to in Denzel Boston, KC Concepcion, and Harold Fannin.

Clark was carted from Sunday’s game after his ankle was rolled up at the end of the play. The early appearance of the injury suggested this would be a long-term injury, so Macdonald’s comments after the game don’t come as much of a surprise. Clark was selected 64th overall by the Seahawks in this year’s draft and was expected to be an immediate contributor for the defense. We’ll likely get word later in the week on exactly how long the Seahawks expect the rookie to be out.
