Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson (toe) did not practice on Wednesday.

This may partially explain why ESPN’s Mike Reiss reported earlier that the Patriots are likely targeting a running back ahead of the NFL’s November 4th trade deadline. The injury’s severity has not yet been reported on, but Stevenson has been an offensive focal point for them this season, with rookie RB TreVeyon Henderson failing to meaningfully challenge Stevenson for the starting role. Practice reports over the next two days should clarify Stevenson’s Week 9 availability.

    Patriots released RB JaMycal Hasty.

Robinson's injury should not change fantasy lineup
Tennessee Titans wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson was removed from practice this week after a head injury. Kyle Dvorchak breaks down why managers shouldn't move Robinson off their lineups just yet.

Panthers acquired TeRah Edwards from the Chargers.

The Chargers’ compensation for the move hasn’t been announced, but it’s certainly a Day Three pick swap. Edwards went undrafted last year and signed with the Chargers’ practice squad. He did not play in 2025. To be honest, we’re not really sure what the Panthers are doing here.

Rams WR Puka Nacua (psoas) returned to practice Sunday.

Nacua had been dealing with psoas soreness in August, working off to the side or missing Rams practices for most of the month. He returns to practice Sunday and should not be in danger of missing any regular season time due to the injury. With news that Nacua will avoid the commissioner’s exempt list, he is still a good bet to go in the middle of the first round in fantasy drafts.

Saints placed RB Devin Neal on injured reserve with a hamstring injury, ending his season.

Neal has hit I.R. without a return designation, so his sophomore season is over. Of course, he could later be released with an injury settlement. The 2025 sixth-rounder managed 74 touches for the Saints’ undermanned 2025 running back group, though he was not impressive in the process. He is still only 23 years old, so he could land on someone else’s practice squad if/when the Saints cut him loose.

Seahawks placed Zach Charbonnet (knee) on the PUP list.

After months of Seahawks front office officials and coaches saying Charbonnet could be active for Week 1 against the Patriots, he’ll miss at least the first four games of the regular season as he recovers from his 2025 ACL tear. That leaves rookie RB Jadarian Price as the likely lead back to start the season, with George Holani perhaps functioning as the backfield’s pass-catching option and potential goal line back. Price, who missed time with lower body injuries in August, should be a full go for Week 1. He should be treated as a flex option to start the year.

Vikings placed Michael Jurgens on injured reserve.

Jurgens will miss at least four games while on injured reserve. He appeared in 15 games last year and made three starts. Joe Huber will back up Blake Brandel to start the year.

49ers placed Christian Kirk (calf) on injured reserve.

San Francisco also placed offensive lineman Austen Pleasants on injured reserve. Both players will miss at least four games to start the year. Kirk missed most of training camp with the calf issue. Mike Evans, De’Zhaun Stribling, and Deebo Samuel will start for the team in three-receiver sets. Even when Kirk comes back, he’s likely stuck as the WR4 on the depth chart.

    Seahawks released CB Trevon Diggs.

Diggs, who doesn’t have an interception since the 2024 season, will likely latch on with another secondary in need of depth pieces. Diggs never had much of a chance of making the roster in Seattle, a defense sporting one of the league’s best coverage units. He totaled 31 pass breakups and 17 interceptions in his first three NFL seasons, from 2020-22. He’s totaled just six pass breakups and three interceptions since then. Diggs is entering his age-28 season.
