Free agent quarterback Kyle Trask will attend the Saints’ rookie minicamp.

Per NewOrleans.Football’s Nick Underhill, Easton Stick will also have a tryout during mincamp. Trask re-signed with the Bucs last offseason but failed to crack the roster at the end of training camp. He later joined the Falcons’ practice squad. The Saints currently have Spencer Rattler and Zach Wilson as options to back up Tyler Shough.

Eagles LB Zack Baun (concussion) was limited on Thursday.

This is Baun’s second limited practice this week. Fellow LB Jihaad Campbell (knee) resumed practicing in a limited capacity, but EDGE Jonathan Greenard (ankle) and S Marcus Epps (groin) remain sidelined.
'Forge ahead' with Daniels on fantasy lineup
Patrick Daugherty and Denny Carter ask and answer - does Jayden Daniels have to be played? The quarterback returns after three weeks out with injury, and stakes are high.

Dallas Goedert (knee) was limited on Thursday.

Goedert’s return cannot come soon enough. DeVonta Smith (hamstring) and Hollywood Brown (ankle) remain sidelined, and Dontayvion Wicks (hamstring) got hurt in today’s practice. If Goedert can play this week, he will vault right back into the TE1 tier.

Dontayvion Wicks (hamstring) was added to the injury report on Thursday.

Wicks was listed as a limited participant today, indicating that he strained his hamstring during Thursday’s practice. With DeVonta Smith (hamstring) still sidelined, rookie WR Makai Lemon could be the de facto top receiver, though the team has struggled to use him effectively thus far. Hollywood Brown (ankle) also remains sidelined.

DeVonta Smith (hamstring) did not practice on Thursday.

Smith is on the wrong side of questionable for the Eagles’ Week 5 game against the Jaguars, and at this point, we expect him to be ruled out tomorrow. Dallas Goedert (knee) is practicing and could end up operating as the team’s top pass catcher.

Carnell Tate (back) was added to the injury report on Thursday.

Tate was limited today, suggesting he suffered a back injury in practice. That is not good. He, of course, still has a chance to play, but we will have to monitor this situation closely. For now, Tate must be viewed as questionable to play in Week 5 against the Texans.

    Commanders waived RB Kaytron Allen.

The Commanders have been bringing more running backs aboard as active roster injuries mount. Contributing on passing downs and on special teams is critical for fringe players, so Allen appears to be the odd man out. The front office could end up regretting this decision. Allen will certainly land on an NFL roster, and may not end up making it through waivers unclaimed.

Bengals WR Colbie Young (knee) practiced in full on Thursday.

Young is on track to face the Dolphins in Week 5. His return comes at the right time. Ja’Marr Chase is in the NFL’s concussion protocol and Tee Higgins (adductor/neck) is sidelined.

Chris Olave (foot) was added to the injury report on Thursday.

It is tough to say when exactly the injury happened. This is bizarre. Olave took a hard hit to the lower body late in Week 4 and subbed himself out for the team’s final possession. He did not practice on Wednesday. The team listed it as a rest day, and New Orleans Football’s Nick Underhill reported that coach Kellen Moore clarified three times that Olave’s Wednesday absence was not injury-related. Olave resumed practicing in a limited capacity on Thursday with a foot injury. If this injury occurred in-game, he should be considered likely to play. If it occurred in practice today, he would be firmly in the questionable column. Stay tuned.

Chris Brooks (ankle) did not practice on Thursday.

Matt LaFleur said earlier this morning that they were going to “give him another day and see where he’s at tomorrow and make a decision after that.” It sounds like there’s still a chance Brooks could play in Week 5, but he’ll likely be on the questionable line on Friday.

Jaylen Wright (foot) was limited in Thursday’s practice.

It’s unclear if this was related to the foot that was giving Wright problems earlier this year, but a mid-week downgrade is never great news for a player. Wright has a real chance to miss Week 5. We’ll probably have a better sign of how likely it is that he plays Friday morning if no national reporters pick up the story earlier than that.
