Willett, a pre-tourney 40/1 outright, was making his second appearance after a T55 last year, and misses his second cut of the season in three starts (Fortinet). He arrived off a T21 at the Shriners three weeks ago, preceded the week prior by his eighth European Tour victory (on his 34th birthday) at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, his first Euro circuit win since 2019. For the short week in Bermuda, the Jacksonville State Univ. (AL) product totaled seven birdies, outbalanced by six bogeys and three doubles, and ranked T6 in driving accuracy at 75.00 percent (21/28), though T55 in greens in regulation (23/36), T101st in scrambling (46.15 percent), and T80 in putts per GIR (1.826).
