NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.

Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check NBC Sports EDGE’s player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.

Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 2W, 2D, 2UTIL 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL) and Yahoo has a $200 budget for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

Wednesday has four games on the schedule.

Forwards:

Mitch Marner (Toronto) - W - $8,800 (FanDuel), $7,900 (DraftKings), $30 (Yahoo)

Marner has a four-game point streak going into Wednesday’s match against Buffalo. He has four goals and 11 points over that span, including three straight multi-point efforts. Marner posted an assist in Toronto’s previous match against the Sabres this year to give him 16 points (six goals, 10 assists) in 16 career contests versus Buffalo. He can be stacked with Auston Matthews, which will be pricey, or Michael Bunting.

Pavel Buchnevich (St. Louis) - W - $7,100 (FanDuel), $6,500 (DraftKings), $23 (Yahoo)

Buchnevich will play against his former team for the first time on Wednesday night when the Blues visit the New York Rangers. He has been a great addition for St. Louis this season, while producing 19 goals and 46 points in 46 games.

Tage Thompson (Buffalo) - C - $6,800 (FanDuel), $6,300 (DraftKings), $19 (Yahoo)

Thompson racked up eight goals and 11 points in 10 games last month. He has lit the lamp in each of his past two appearances, while getting eight shots on net both times. Thompson picked up one goal, one assist and four shots in Buffalo’s loss to Toronto back on Nov. 13. He makes for a good stack play with Jeff Skinner and/or Alex Tuch.

Adrian Kempe (Los Angeles) - W - $5,600 (FanDuel), $5,400 (DraftKings), $19 (Yahoo)

Kempe potted seven goals and added two assists in six games prior to finishing February with two scoreless appearances. Still, he amassed four shots on target in each of those outings. Kempe will look to get back on track against Dallas on Wednesday night. He has one goal and six shots in two previous matches versus the Stars this year. Kempe offers plenty of bang for the buck upside.

Bargain Bin: Tanner Jeannot (NSH) - $4,800 (FanDuel), $2,700 (DraftKings), $17 (Yahoo), Calle Jarnkrok (SEA) - $4,900 (FanDuel), $3,200 (DraftKings), $11 (Yahoo), Robert Thomas (STL) - $5,100 (FanDuel), $4,900 (DraftKings), $18 (Yahoo), Trevor Moore (LA) - $5,100 (FanDuel), $3,900 (DraftKings), $17 (Yahoo)

Defensemen:

Roman Josi (Nashville) - $7,000 (FanDuel), $7,200 (DraftKings), $26 (Yahoo)

Josi could be worth spending up for on Wednesday night. He has cooled down a bit following a six-game point streak, but stands a good chance of getting back on the scoresheet against Seattle. Josi has one goal, one assist and five shots in his previous two meetings with the Kraken this year.

Bargain Bin: Justin Holl (TOR) - $4,900 (FanDuel), $2,700 (DraftKings), $13 (Yahoo), Justin Faulk (STL) - $4,700 (DraftKings), $19 (Yahoo)

Goaltenders:

Juuse Saros (Nashville) - $8,200 (FanDuel), $8,000 (DraftKings), $37 (Yahoo)

Saros only has one win his past six starts, but he has plenty of bounce-back appeal on Wednesday night. He has stopped 55 of 60 shots in two previous matchups versus Seattle this season, which includes a 33-save 4-2 victory on Jan. 25.

Other plays: Jake Oettinger (DAL) - $8,000 (FanDuel), $7,900 (DraftKings), $29 (Yahoo), Petr Mrazek (TOR) - $8,500 (FanDuel), $8,200 (DraftKings), $30 (Yahoo)
