Jakub Vrana (33%) has been superb since making his season debut on Tuesday following shoulder surgery. He should be scooped up immediately if he is available.

If you are searching for help on the back end then T.J. Brodie (5%) Ryan Pulock (16%) and Ben Chiarot (17%) have been productive and can supply assistance in multiple categories.

Nick Schmaltz’s rostered percentage skyrocketed from 8% to 40% from a week ago when he was featured on Waiver Wired. Kyle Okposo is still available in 95% of Yahoo leagues despite a fairly consistent offensive year. Additionally, Robert Thomas, who has been a regular on Waiver Wired this season, can be had in 71% of pools.

Now, let’s get into this week’s suggestions:

Alexis Lafreniere (NY Rangers) - LW, RW - Rostered in 27% of Yahoo leagues

Lafreniere has warmed up recently with three goals and five points in his past nine outings. He has posted 13 shots on target during that span. Lafreniere been playing alongside Mika Zibanejad and Chris Kreider. He has been held off the scoresheet in the past three games, but he is worth monitoring at the very least. The Rangers play four times this week.

Brock Nelson (NY Islanders) - C - Rostered in 22% of Yahoo league

Nelson has four goals and two assists during a five-game point streak along with 17 shots on target. He has lit the lamp in each of his past four outings. Nelson has supplied 13 goals and 21 points in 25 appearances since Jan. 17. He leads the Islanders in goals (23), while ranking second on the team in points (34) over 46 appearances.

Dylan Strome (Chicago) - C, RW - Rostered in 20% of Yahoo leagues

Strome has amassed seven goals and four assists over a six-game point streak. He registered his second hat trick of the season on Tuesday and he netted his 16th goal of the year on Saturday. Strome has been centering the top line of the Blackhawks between Patrick Kane, who has been red hot as well, and Alex DeBrincat. He has amassed 13 markers and 25 points in his past 25 matches despite a six-game scoreless hiccup last month. Still, Strome makes for an excellent pickup at this time.

Trevor Moore (Los Angeles) - LW, RW - Rostered in 11% of Yahoo leagues

Moore has been a breakout offensive performer for the Kings this season. He has a personal best 11 goals and 36 points through 60 contests. Moore got off to a sluggish start in 2021-22, but he has more than made up for it with 29 points (eight goals, 21 assists) in his past 28 appearances. He has also been credited with 79 shots on goal during that span. Moore and Phillip Danault (23%) have done most of the heavy lifting among Kings’ scorers for the past 30 contests and should be rostered in more leagues.

Connor Brown (Ottawa) - LW, RW - Rostered in 9% of Yahoo leagues

Brown has been playing through a lingering injury, which has resulted in some missed practices and some game-time decisions, but it hasn’t had an impact on the scoresheet. He has compiled 14 points (three goals, 11 assists) over his past 18 contests. Brown has piled up 44 shots on target during that stretch. He has been skating on the top line alongside Brady Tkachuk and Josh Norris. As long as Brown stays healthy enough to stay in the lineup, he has plenty of fantasy appeal going into a four-game week for the Senators.

Craig Smith (Boston) - RW - Rostered in 8% of Yahoo leagues

Smith has heated up with seven goals and 11 points in nine games. He has been doing the damage outside of the Bruins’ top-six forward group, which brings sustainability into question, but his hot play warrants at least a short-term pickup if you have the roster flexibility.

Paul Stastny (Winnipeg) - C, LW - Rostered in 7% of Yahoo leagues

Stastny has five goals and eight points in seven games, while sticking around on the top line of the Jets alongside Mark Scheifele and Blake Wheeler. He has generated 17 goals and 30 points in 48 matches this campaign.

Tanner Pearson (Vancouver) - LW - Rostered in 6% of Yahoo leagues

Pearson has accounted for five goals and nine points in nine games. He has been playing alongside J.T. Miller, who has been molten hot offensively. Vancouver plays four times this week and fantasy managers could get an extra game on Sunday if the undervalued winger is scooped up today.

Conor Sheary (Washington) - LW, RW - Rostered in 4% of Yahoo leagues

Sheary has contributed four goals and two assists in six games. He has been seeing top-six forward playing time of late, mostly with Alex Ovechkin and Evgeny Kuznetsov. The Capitals play four times this week, which gives Sheary some short-term appeal as a wavier pickup.

Jonathan Dahlen (San Jose) - C, LW, RW - Rostered in 1% of Yahoo leagues

Dahlen has posted a point in each of his first two games, with one goal and one assist, since his return to the lineup from an injury. He has been playing on the top line with Logan Couture and Timo Meier. The 24-year-old rookie has 12 goals and 22 points through 48 contests this campaign. Dahlen is a good under-the-radar option for San Jose’s four-game schedule this week.
