Antti Raanta, who is currently rostered in 14% of Yahoo leagues, just became a great option for fantasy managers seeking goalie help due to the absence of Frederik Andersen, who is considered to be day-to-day.
Blake Coleman (34%), Nico Hischier (32%), Matthew Boldy (31%), Jeff Skinner (26%) and Mason Marchment (26%) should be scooped up if they are available.
Yegor Sharangovich went from 11% to 17% from a week ago, while Jake DeBrusk jumped from 6% to 20%. Phillip Danault is still available in 78% of Yahoo leagues, while Nino Niederreiter can be had in 79% of pools and Connor Brown is still rostered in just 11%. Frederick Gaudreau, who continues to be productive, is available in 96% of leagues.

Now, let’s get into this week’s suggestions:
Jordan Staal (Carolina) - C - Rostered in 20% of Yahoo leagues
Staal has heated up with six goals and 10 points in his past 12 outings. He has been held off the scoresheet just four times during that span, while posting 24 shots on target. The Hurricanes captain also has 160 hits in 53 games this season. Staal is worthy of a pickup in deeper leagues while he is racking up points.
Mikael Backlund (Calgary) - C, RW - Rostered in 17% of Yahoo leagues
Backlund has recorded points in bunches this season. He has one goal, 13 shots and four assists in six games going into what will be a busy five-game week for the Flames. Backlund, who centers the second line, is a worthy of at least a short-term pickup.
Trevor Moore (Los Angeles) - Rostered in 10% of Yahoo leagues
Moore has compiled seven points (two goals, five assists) in seven games, while being credited with 21 shots on goal. It has been a breakout year offensively for the 26-year-old forward. Moore has been a good fit as a top-six forward for the Kings, while meshing nicely alongside Phillip Danault and Viktor Arvidsson. All three of them are deserving of more fantasy attention.
Nick Schmaltz (Arizona) - C, RW - Rostered in 8% of Yahoo leagues
Schmaltz appeared on Waiver Wired a week ago despite Arizona’s light schedule because of his hot play. Fantasy managers who added him were treated to a seven-point performance on Saturday after he lit the lamp on Thursday as well. He has amassed 18 points (nine goals, nine assists) in his past 11 appearances. Schmaltz’s big night will certainly garner him some attention, but it should be noted that he has displayed plenty of offensive consistency since mid-January. He has 13 goals and 14 assists over 22 games since Jan. 12.
Erik Haula (Boston) - C, LW - Rostered in 7% of Yahoo leagues
Haula has generated three goals and five assists during a six-game point streak. This comes after he was held off the scoresheet for six straight contests. Still, he has accounted for 20 points (seven goals, 13 assists) in his past 27 appearances. Haula has been a great fit as the second-line center of the Bruins, which has granted him exposure to David Pastrnak and Taylor Hall.
Kyle Okposo (Buffalo) - RW - Rostered in 7% of Yahoo leagues
Okposo has been a great source of secondary scoring for the Sabres this season. He has registered seven goals, 27 shots and two assists over 10 games. Okposo is up to 33 points in 50 contests this campaign, which is more than he had in his previous two seasons combined (32 points in 87 appearances).
Scott Laughton (Philadelphia) - C, LW - Rostered in 7% of Yahoo leagues
Laughton has been productive since the end of January, while supplying five goals and 11 points in 13 matches. He has been playing between Claude Giroux and Travis Konecny on the top line. Laughton has also compiled 113 hits in 52 games. Laughton has a been a bright spot for the Flyers this year and the team is scheduled to play four times this week.
Paul Stastny (Winnipeg) - C, LW - Rostered in 6% of Yahoo leagues
Stastny has had some issues with consistency this season, but he has strung together three goals and two assists during a three-game point streak. Winnipeg has four games scheduled for this week, so Stastny will get plenty of opportunities to continue his hot play. He is still skating on the top line with Mark Scheifele and Blake Wheeler at even strength.
Kyle Palmieri (NY Islanders) - LW, RW - Rostered in 4% of Yahoo leagues
Palmieri has lit the lamp six times in 10 games after scoring once in his first 29 appearances this season. Jean-Gabriel Pageau (24%), who has been filling in for injured forward Mathew Barzal, is a good pickup as well, but Palmieri could have more staying power once Barzal is able to return.
Evgeny Svechnikov (Winnipeg) - RW - Rostered in 1% of Yahoo leagues
Svechnikov has three goals and three assists during a four-game point spree. He also has 10 shots and nine hits during that span. Svechnikov has heated up, while playing alongside Kyle Connor and Pierre-Luc Dubois. He has fantasy value in deeper leagues as a result.
Honorable Mention:
Ryan Suter (Dallas) - D - Rostered in 20% of Yahoo leagues
Suter would have been more than just an honorable mention if Dallas was scheduled to play more than just two games this week. He has picked up one goal, three assists, six shots, two hits and four blocks in his past three outings.
