Each week I provide a Perfect XI of my own for the upcoming gameweek of Premier League fixtures, recommending 11 players to consider along with some honourable mentions for each position. The main 11 players listed won’t necessarily be the exact players selected for my own Perfect XI fantasy side. The point of this column isn’t to tell you exactly who to pick; it’s to present some ideas to get you thinking. Hopefully you’ll find the advice useful, whether you’re playing Togga’s game or looking at potential transfers for your official Fantasy Premier League team.

Another strong showing in Week 36 has moved me in to 120th overall and just 25 points off the Top 100. There’s still hope, especially with a ...
... DOUBLE GAMEWEEK! That’s right - Togga’s schedule line’s up with the FPL schedule which means two games for 12 teams. It’s important to have your fantasy team locked in ready for Brighton v Manchester United on Friday night, but remember in Perfect XI you can swap out a player from your squad right up to one minute before their first match kicks off and bring in an alternative player whose first match is also yet to kick off. This wonderful flexibility allows you to avoid the pain of a surprise benching or unreported last minute injury and a big fat ZERO. Just make sure you keep an eye on the starting line-ups as kick off approaches each week by following the Rotoworld PL Twitter account.

Our focus should be exclusively on players with two games and the teams with the best two fixtures are clearly Manchester City (home to Huddersfield, Brigton) and Tottenham (away at West Brom, at home to Newcastle). We may also look players from Chelsea (two home games but one against Liverpool), Arsenal (one home, one away), Leicester (out of form but two home games) and Manchester United (two away games). With that in mind, here are the players I feel it’s worth considering ...
KEEPERS
Ederson - If Manchester City end this gameweek with anything less than six points and two clean sheets I’d be very surprised, so Ederson gets the nod.
Honourable Mentions: David De Gea, Hugo Lloris
DEFENDERS
Ben Davies - With Danny Rose well and truly out of favour we should see Davies start both games and return plenty of defensive and attacking points.
Marcos Alonso - Well rested after suspension, Alonso should slot straight back in on Chelsea’s left side and is due a big score.
Chris Smalling - Essential given the fact he’s the only Manchester United defender certain to start both fixtures (barring an unforeseen injury or suspension).
Nicolas Otamendi - I’m determined to include a Manchester City defender and right now it’s Otamendi given Vincent Kompany‘s recent set-back. However, I’d advise you check the pre-game line up on Sunday.
Honourable Mentions: Cesar Azpilicueta, Jan Vertonghen, Nacho Monreal, Harry Maguire
MIDFIELDERS
Christian Eriksen - The Dane has 10 goal, 10 assists and can close out his finest season in a Spurs shirt by helping the club to Champions League football for a third consecutive compaign.
Paul Pogba - Back in favour with Jose Mourinho, Pogba has put up double-digit fantasy returns in four of his last five Premier League appearances from a more advanced midfield role.
Kevin De Bruyne - No brainer. KDB is a must have for the double-week.
Leroy Sane - With Raheem Sterling listed as a forward in PXI I’m doubling up on City midfielders with the man from the opposite flank - the in-form Sane.
Honourable Mentions: Dele Alli, Eden Hazard, Aaron Ramsey, Dusan Tadic, Riyad Mahrez
STRIKERS
Gabriel Jesus - With Sergio Aguero ruled out for the rest of the season it cements Jesus as a certain starter for City’s final three games as the spearhead of the best attacking unit in Europe.
Harry Kane - Still not fully fit after that ankle injury picked up in March, but only a fool would go without Kane given his two games against West Brom and Newcastle and his last ditch attempt on the Golden Boot award.
Honourable Mentions: Raheem Sterling, Alexandre Lacazette, Marko Arnautovic, Jamie Vardy, Charlie Austin
