The Knicks waived Feron Hunt on Tuesday.
Hunt was on a two-way contract, and they waived him to sign DaQuan Jeffries. This won’t impact fantasy hoops.

Quentin Grimes led the Knicks with 24 points, four rebounds, one assist, three steals, three 3-pointers and four turnovers on 9-of-17 shooting in Monday’s loss to the Blazers, their first in three Summer League games.
He also scored 24 on Friday and will be looking to take a step forward this season. If he can somehow beat out Evan Fournier for the starting job in New York this season he could quickly become a super-sleeper in fantasy, although he could also end up backing up Jalen Brunson at the point. Miles McBride added 16 points, four assists, three steals and two 3-pointers on 6-of-14 shooting and Feron Hunt hit 5-of-10 shots and two triples for 12 points, four rebounds and four assists in the loss.

Feron Hunt has signed a two-way contract with the Knicks.
The 22-year-old forward has had a lot of success in the G League with the Texas Legends. In 37 games, Hunt averaged 17.8 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.4 steals, 1.1 blocks and 1.2 triples. That is an intriguing stat profile, so hopefully the Knicks give him a look in the final three weeks. The Knicks will waive Luka Samanic to make room for Hunt.

Feron Hunt will not be active for Tuesday’s game against the Cavaliers.
Hunt agreed to a 10-day contract with the Pelicans on Monday, so it isn’t a major surprise that he won’t be available to play. There’s no need to consider picking him up once that changes, either.

The Pelicans are set to extend a 10-day offer to Feron Hunt via the hardship exception.
Through 12 games in the G League, Hunt has compiled averages of 15.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.9 steals, 0.8 swats and 2.4 turnovers per contest on 53.4% shooting. He’ll provide some relief to New Orleans’ backcourt, but this is a wait-and-see situation just about everywhere.
