The 2026 Presidents Cup rosters are set after Brandt Snedeker and Geoff Ogilvy made their captain’s picks on Tuesday.
Joining Snedeker’s squad for the U.S. are Chris Gotterup, Xander Schauffele, Patrick Cantlay, Justin Thomas, Jacob Bridgeman, and Jackson Koivun. They will don the red, white and blue alongside the six automatic qualifiers, including FedExCup champion and World No. 1, Scottie Scheffler.
Schauffele’s name has become synonymous with this event, having never been beaten in singles competition, and holds a 4-1 record in foursomes alongside Cantlay. Thomas makes his return after a 2024 absence, who brings emotional firepower and a 6-0 record in Four-ball, though he has never won a singles match.
Gotterup, Bridgeman, and Koivun are the three rookies suiting up for the U.S. team at Medinah Country Club. Gotterup, a candidate for Player of the Year, won three times on the PGA Tour this season. Bridgeman showed poise down the stretch of the season to pair with a decisive win over Rory McIlroy at the Genesis Invitational.
The biggest headliner for the U.S. team is 21-year-old Jackson Koivun, who just weeks after turning pro, claimed his first win at the 3M Open and played his way into playoff contention.
For the International Team, it’s Corey Conners, Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Nico Echavarria, Sungjae Im, Nick Taylor, and Ryo Hisatsune getting the call from Geoff Ogilvy to join the automatic qualifiers.
Of the captain’s picks, only Echavarria found the winner’s circle on Tour this season and makes his debut alongside Taylor and Hisatsune. Im found his form at season’s end, posting five Top-15 finishes in the last six events.
The U.S. team has won the last 10 Presidents Cups and is 13-1-1 all time, with the International team’s sole victory coming at Royal Melbourne in 1998. The Presidents Cup airs on NBC and Golf Channel from Thursday, Sept. 24 through Sunday, Sept. 27.
