WINDERMERE, Fla. – Entering Year 3 as a part-time professional golfer, Steve Stricker doesn’t expect to alter his workload much going forward.
“I’m really excited about this year and going forward,” he said in advance of this week’s Hero World Challenge. “Still playing a limited schedule, probably less than 15 again, but my focus, you know, will be more on golf than where it was last year.”
Throughout the past season, Stricker was dealing with the deteriorating health of his older brother, Scott, who passed away on Oct. 4.

If there are changes to Stricker’s schedule in 2015, it may not mean more starts, but the same number during a shorter time period.
“I may condense the schedule a little bit more and not play for the first two, couple months of the year, January and February. Come out and maybe condense my 13, 14 events, so I can be a little bit sharper during that time period,” Stricker said. “I don’t know. I really haven’t looked at the schedule much and know what I’m going to do. But hopefully I can continue to try to play well and get in there. I want to win again, but it’s gotten a little bit harder doing what I’m doing.”
