No offense to Ernie, singling him out, because he isn’t alone.
Woods also would have more WGC titles than PGA Tour titles won by Tom Weiskopf (16), Mark O’Meara (16), Jack Burke Jr. (16), Kenny Perry (14), David Duval (13) and Jim Furyk (13).
Woods has made $20,618,833 in WGC events.
That’s $6 million more than Norman won in official money his entire PGA Tour career, a stat noteworthy since Norman got trumped by PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem’s WGC creation after Norman tried to start a world golf tour.
In WGC earnings alone, Woods would rank 22nd in PGA Tour career earnings, just ahead of Nick Price.
