After nine holes of Saturday fourballs, the Presidents Cup leaderboard was all red.
Then the International rally began.
Slowly the away team started tying up matches or taking the lead, and it seemed the U.S. may be in for another session loss.
Instead of being blown out 5-0 like Friday, the Americans staged a rally of their own, only giving away 1 full point.
The seemingly unstoppable pairing of Tom Kim and Si Woo Kim moved to 3-0 on the week with their 2 and 1 win over Collin Morikawa and Wyndham Clark.
The next points on the board were a half to each team, as Justin Thomas and Jackson Koivun tied with Min Woo Lee and Sungjae Im.
The last two morning matches were all red.
Chris Gotterup and Cameron Young led from the first hole, getting as high as 4 up. They would give away a few holes as the match went on, but the pair was ultimately able to close out Nick Taylor and Corey Conners on the 17th, winning 2 up.
Things did not look as promising for Scottie Scheffler and Sam Burns, who led 1 up for much of the first nine before Hideki Matsuyama and Ryo Hisatsune went 1 up from Nos. 13-14.
The U.S. rally started on the 15th with a long putt from Scheffler that tied the match. They would take the next two holes to win, 2 up.
And suddenly the Americans have hope, winning Saturday morning fourballs, 2.5-1.5.
The Internationals lead 8.5-5.5 heading into Saturday afternoon foursomes.
