Royals acquired RHP Henry Williams and RHP Jesus Rios from the Padres for RHP Scott Barlow.
Williams, 21, was a third-round selection by the Padres from the 2022 draft. He has posted a 5.74 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and a 40/21 K/BB ratio over 42 1/3 innings at Single-A Lake Elsinore in his first taste of professional baseball this season.
