Bills placed OG Isaac Asiata on the reserve/retired list.
A third-year fifth-rounder, Asiata spent most of 2018 on the practice squad with the Dolphins. He made two regular season appearances in two years. He spent only eight days on the Bills’ 90-man roster. The Utah product is going on 27.
  • Bills signed OG Isaac Asiata.
A fifth-round pick back in 2017, Asiata was waived by the Dolphins with an injury designation back in May. He is apparently healthy now, but his roster chances are slim in Buffalo’s revamped offensive line group.
  • Dolphins waived OG Isaac Asiata.
Asiata was officially waived with an injury designation, meaning he will revert to injured reserve if he clears waivers, but it is likely he is released with a settlement in the near future. A fifth-round pick in 2017, Asiata has appeared in just two games and spent most of last season on Miami’s practice squad.
  • Dolphins traded up with the Eagles to select Utah OG Isaac Asiata with the No. 164 overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.
Miami swapped picks with Philly in the sixth round to move up two spots in the fifth. Asiata (6’3/335) made 42 starts on the Utes’ line -- 31 at left guard, seven at right guard, and four at left tackle. He earned the Morris Trophy as a senior, an award voted on by Pac-12 players given to the conference’s top offensive lineman. Isaac is the younger brother of Matt Asiata. Turning 25 in December after an early-college Mormon mission, Asiata is an over-aged interior-line prospect who wins with nastiness and toughness and possesses plus strength, repping 225 pounds 35 times at the Combine. Asiata projects as a power-blocking guard or center.
  • Dolphins waived OG Isaac Asiata.
The Dolphins traded up for Asiata in the fifth round of last year’s draft, but he forced himself onto the field only once as a rookie. The Dolphins have had an exceptionally poor draft record in recent years. Perhaps Asiata will be stashed on the practice squad.
