Steelers signed OL Chaz Green to a one-year contract.
Pittsburgh also made the signing of Melvin Ingram official. In a pair of corresponding moves, they released offensive tackle Jarron Jones and linebacker Calvin Bundage. Green started one game for the Colts last year after failing to appear in a single game in 2019. He’ll serve as a depth option for the Steelers if he can make the final roster.

    Steelers signed OT Jarron Jones.
Jones is the ninth former-XFL player that the Steelers have added to their roster. It remains to be see how many, if any, will make the final roster after August cuts.

  • FA Tackle #74
Giants signed Notre Dame DT Jarron Jones.
Jones (6’6/316) struggled with Lisfranc and MCL injuries as a sophomore and junior before staying healthy as a senior and amassing 11 tackles for loss, two sacks, and a forced fumble across 12 starts. A sub-par athlete, Jones ran 5.33 with a painful 20.5-inch vertical at the Combine. On tape, Jones flashes a potent bull rush but is inconsistent versus the run. Jones is a wide body with long arms (35 ½") and a big name as a former five-star recruit, but he was a disappointment at Notre Dame. He’ll try to carve out an NFL career as a rotational interior presence.

Giants UDFA DT Jarron Jones worked with the offensive line at Friday’s OTAs.
Jones could be attempting a position change. At 6'6/316, Jones is certainly large enough to play on the O line and may be more valuable as a blocker after showing subpar athleticsm at the Combine (5.33 forty).
