Former South Carolina sophomore DB Johnny Dixon transferred to Penn State.
Dixon (6'0/185) appeared in 22 games during his two seasons at South Carolina, accumulating 37 total tackles (30 solo, 1.0 for loss), one interception, six passes defensed and one fumble recovery. After playing sparingly as a freshman Dixon received more playing time in 2020, finishing the year with 34 total tackles and five passes defensed. He will have up to three seasons of eligibility remaining at Penn State, which has hit the transfer market quite hard since the end of the regular season.

Rivals analyst Ryan Snyder passes along that Miami and Florida should be viewed as the frontrunners for uncommitted four-star 2019 CB Johnny Dixon.
Dixon (5'11/170) took an official visit to Penn State for their game against Ohio State at the end of September, but while he had a dynamite time in Happy Valley, the Nittany Lions probably remain on the outside looking in, here. Rivals ranks Dixon as the No. 240 overall prospect in the 2019 class.
