Bears signed S Jordan Lucas, formerly of the Chiefs, to a one-year contract.
Lucas was in on just 41 defensive snaps last season for the Super Bowl champs, but he was a mainstay on special teams. That figures to be his role with the Bears, though they did lose S Ha Ha Clinton-Dix to the Cowboys.

Chiefs assigned an original-round tender to S Jordan Lucas.
The tender is worth $2.025 million. Lucas entered the league as a sixth-round pick by the Dolphins back is 2016, so that is what a team will owe the Chiefs if they are able to sign him away. It would be a surprise if Lucas is not back in Kansas City next season.

Dolphins signed No. 204 overall pick DB Jordan Lucas to a four-year contract.
Lucas shifted from corner to safety as a senior at Penn State, but he lacks both the playmaking and run-stopping ability to play there in the pros. He does have the size (6'0/201) and athleticism (4.45 forty, 38.5-inch vertical) to play corner, and he has said that is his “natural position.” Lucas will likely earn his paycheck on special teams this season.

    Dolphins waived DB Jordan Lucas.
The No. 204 overall pick of last year’s draft, Lucas made eight rookie appearances. 24, he could be headed to the practice squad.

Chiefs acquired S Jordan Lucas from the Dolphins in exchange for a seventh-round pick in 2020.
Lucas failed to make the Dolphins out of training camp last season but was promoted to the active roster after spending a month on the practice squad. After losing Marcus Peters and Terrance Mitchell this offseason, the Chiefs are looking for any help they can get in the secondary.

Dolphins selected Penn State DB Jordan Lucas with the No. 204 overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft.
Lucas (6'0/201) made 33 starts for the Nittany Lions, shifting from cornerback to safety as a senior before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury. He piled up 11 career tackles for loss and 25 pass breakups with three interceptions. Lucas was recovered in time for the PSU Pro Day, blazing 4.45 and showing explosion in the vertical (38 1/2") and broad (10'10") jumps. Lucas has experience covering slot receivers and NFL-level athleticism, but he should’ve made more plays in college and isn’t an in-the-box run stuffer. The Dolphins play to try Lucas as a press corner, but he’ll have to pay special-teams dues first.
