    Vikings released WR Jordan Taylor.
Taylor was competing for one of the final receiver spots. His release isn’t necessarily a good sign for Laquon Treadwell’s roster chances. Brandon Zylstra is the favorite to open the season as the Vikings’ No. 5 receiver.

The Athletic’s Arif Hasan reports Jordan Taylor has been operating as the Vikings’ No. 3 receiver in spring practices.
Hassan pegs Taylor and seventh-round rookie Dillon Mitchell as the best “fits” for the job, but Taylor has been working in that spot all spring. It sounds like Laquon Treadwell may not even really be in the mix after filling the role most of 2018. Depth at wideout in Minnesota is seriously lacking. The Vikings would be in big trouble if something happened to either Adam Thielen or Stefon Diggs. Taylor is unlikely to have fantasy value should he win the No. 3 job.

St. Paul Pioneer Press’s Chris Tomasson reports the Vikings will try WR Jordan Taylor at punt returns.
The idea is to have Taylor replace CB Marcus Sherels, who signed with the Saints in free agency after averaging an optimal 12 yards per return last season. Taylor most recently averaged 9.4 yards on 11 returns for Denver in 2017. The newly-signed 27-year-old has an outside chance of winning slot duties over incumbent starter Laquon Treadwell if he can stay healthy, too.

Vikings signed WR Jordan Taylor, formerly of the Broncos, to a one-year contract.
The Seahawks had also shown interest in Taylor. The former UDFA out of Rice missed the entirety of last season with the Broncos following surgeries to both hips. He’ll compete for a spot on Minnesota’s active roster with Laquon Treadwell and Jeff Badet.

Free agent WR Jordan Taylor will visit the Vikings Monday.
Taylor is also set to visit the Seahawks on Wednesday. The fifth-year pro battled injuries throughout his tenure with the Broncos, most recently sitting out all of 2018 following surgeries to both hips. Denver opted not to tender him at the start of the new league year.

Broncos placed WR Jordan Taylor on the active/PUP list.
He’s still recovering from offseason hip surgery and likely won’t be ready for several more weeks. Taylor has amassed just 29 catches through his first two seasons and could be on the Broncos’ roster bubble.

Broncos.com’s Andrew Mason believes WR Jordan Taylor has a “decent shot” to make the final roster.
Most famous for his role as Peyton Manning’s throwing partner during the quarterback’s rehab last season, Taylor has flashed each of the last two offseasons. He has yet to play an NFL snap, however, and likely has to beat out one of Jordan Norwood, Bennie Fowler, or Cody Latimer for a roster spot. With all three strong contributors on special teams, Taylor’s road to the roster is a tough one.

Jordan Taylor hauled in all three of his targets for 41 yards Week 17 against the Raiders.
The 41 yards is a new season- and career-high for the undrafted receiver out of Rice, who finishes his first year of real NFL action with 16 catches for 209 yards and two touchdowns. A favorite of former Bronco Peyton Manning, Taylor should be back on an ERFA tender to compete for a roster spot next August.

Jordan Taylor hauled in 1-of-2 targets for seven yards in the Broncos’ Week 7 loss to the Chargers.
Taylor saw more work with Emmanuel Sanders sidelined, but he took a clear backseat to Bennie Fowler. Taylor is not worth owning in shallow leagues.

Broncos UDFA WR Jordan Taylor reportedly made a “massive impression” during Organized Team Activities.
6-foot-4 and 209 pounds with 4.52 wheels, Taylor reportedly caught “multiple deep passes” from Zac Dysert and Brock Osweiler at spring practices. Taylor even caught Peyton Manning’s eye. “He catches everything around him and he’s gone up and made a couple plays on some deep balls, which have stood out,” said Manning. Taylor is buried on the depth chart, but is a name to keep in mind.
