Braves signed RHP Juan Mateo to a minor league contract.
Mateo registered an underwhelming 5.10 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 27/12 K/BB ratio across 30 innings with Cleveland’s Arizona Complex League affiliate last year. The 29-year-old righty will provide organizational relief depth for the Braves this upcoming season.
