He’s away from the team for personal reasons. Nicasio was added to the Rangers’ roster just a few days ago and was hammered for six runs in his lone appearance on Monday night, including the much-discussed grand slam from Fernando Tatis Jr.

Nicasio didn’t make the team as a non-roster invitee but finds himself back in the majors now. He’ll work in middle relief.

The veteran right-handers were in spring training as non-roster invitees and now will join the Rangers’ summer camp rosters. The team is now up to 57 players in summer camp.
