Juan Nicasio is considered day-to-day in Rangers camp due to back stiffness.
Nicasio signed a non-guaranteed minor league contract with the Rangers in mid-January after struggling to a 4.75 ERA, 1.65 WHIP, and 45/21 K/BB ratio over 47 1/3 innings last season for the Phillies. The 33-year-old right-hander probably won’t be a member of the Opening Day roster in Texas, even if he’s healthy.
