Free agent S Kavon Frazier announced his retirement.
Frazier entered the league as a sixth-round pick of the Dallas Cowboys in 2016. The former Central Michigan Chippewa appeared in 44 games with the Cowboys over four seasons and also spent time with the Dolphins, Bengals and Raiders. Frazier took to Twitter to announce his retirement on Friday, saying that his family and new business endeavors are where he wants to focus his energy.

    Bengals released S Kavon Frazier.
The Bengals also moved on from Freedom Akinmoladun, Eric Dungey, Lamont Gaillard, and Cheyenne O’Grady in order to get down to an 80-man roster. Frazier hasn’t started a game since 2018 but did appear in 15 contests for Miami last year. He primarily played special teams with the Dolphins but can serve as a reserve option at safety if needed.

Bengals signed S Kavon Frazier, formerly of the Dolphins.
The former sixth-round pick of the Cowboys, Frazier spent four seasons in Dallas before going to Miami for a one-year stop. He’s played just 66 snaps on defense over the last two seasons and will mainly contribute on special teams.

Dolphins signed S Kavon Frazier, formerly of the Cowboys.
A sixth-round pick in 2016, Frazier has carved out a role as a deep reserve and special teamer. He appeared in four games last season before going on I.R. with a pectoral injury.

Cowboys placed S Kavon Frazier (pec) on the injured reserve list.
The Cowboys were hopeful that Frazier could avoid surgery and simply rehab his injury, but that won’t be the case. Their backup safety will undergo surgery Tuesday and miss the remainder of the 2019 season. It’s bad news for the depth of the Cowboys’ safety room, particularly when considering that the position is already their weakest on the defense.

ESPN’s Todd Archer reports the Cowboys fear S Kavon Frazier suffered a pectoral tear in Week 4 against the Saints.
Frazier may require surgery but there’s hope he could just rehab until his return. For reference, rookie OL Connor McGovern has dealt with a partially torn pec since the spring but hasn’t required surgery. If Xavier Woods (ankle) remains out after exiting in the fourth quarter Sunday night, the Cowboys would only have Jeff Heath, Darian Thompson, and rookie Donovan Wilson available at that position.

Cowboys S Kavon Frazier will be sidelined until training camp following a knee scope.
The 2016 sixth-rounder is heading into the final year of his rookie deal. Frazier has played 190 and 226 snaps each of the last two seasons as a depth safety. He makes his living chasing down kicks and punts on special teams.
  • FA Defensive Back #43
Cowboys second-year S Kavon Frazier is recovering from offseason foot surgery.
Frazier, a sixth-round pick last year, had a stress fracture in his fifth metatarsal. He played 36 defensive snaps as a rookie and covered kicks.

Cowboys S Kavon Frazier suffered a separated left shoulder in the Cowboys’ third preseason game.
Filling in for Xavier Woods, who is dealing with a hamstring injury, Frazier was knocked out of Sunday’s game in the first quarter. Despite the injury, Frazier is not worried about Week 1. “If it was the regular season I would’ve come back in,” Frazier said. “They just wanted to be cautious because it was a preseason game.” Frazier will sit out the preseason finale, but he should be ready for the regular season opener.

Cowboys placed S Kavon Frazier on the active/NFI list.
Frazier is reportedly being evaluated for a blood clotting issue. He can come off the list at any time during training camp, but he will miss at least six games if he remains on the NFI into the regular season.
