Packers claimed RB Keith Ford off waivers from the Colts.
A second-year UDFA, Ford touched the ball 24 times for the Bills last season. He was waived in May before a three-month stint with the Colts. He should be little more than a camp body for the Packers.

    Colts waived RB Keith Ford.
Even with Spencer Ware on the mend (and potentially out with an injury settlement in the near future), Ford was expendable following the surprising addition of ex-Texans runner D’Onta Foreman. Ford had no issues cracking Buffalo’s 53-man roster in ’18, so he’ll likely find a home elsewhere as a third-down RB4-option soon.
  • FA Running Back
Colts signed RB Keith Ford and waived RB Aca’Cedric Ware.
Ford faces tough odds of making the roster given the depth chart, but he also faced long odds as an undrafted free agent in Buffalo last year when he eventually made the active roster. In limited action last season, Ford picked up 79 yards on 21 carries (3.8 YPC).

    Bills waived RB Keith Ford.
An undrafted rookie out of Texas A&M, Ford played a larger role than expected last season, carrying the ball 21 times for 79 yards in two appearances for the injury-ravaged Bills. After adding Frank Gore, T.J. Yeldon, and third-rounder Devin Singletary this offseason, Buffalo’s backfield is a crowded mess, so someone had to go. The Bills signed undrafted free agents DT Quindarius Thagard, OL Garrett McGhin, TE Moral Stephens, and S Abraham Wallace in corresponding moves.
  • FA Running Back
Bills declared QB Derek Anderson, RB Keith Ford, WR Deonte Thompson, G Vladimir Ducasse, DE Eddie Yarbrough, LB Julian Stanford, CB Ryan Lewis and S Dean Marlowe inactive for Sunday’s Week 17 regular season finale versus the Dolphins.
There are no surprises among the Bills’ inactives as they close the season. With Keith Ford inactive, just LeSean McCoy and Chris Ivory will be available to handle all of the backfield touches.
  • FA Running Back
Keith Ford rushed seven times for 33 yards in the Bills’ Week 16 loss to the Patriots, adding two receptions for 14 yards.
Ford “started” as LeSean McCoy served a one-play punishment for an unspecified violation. The UDFA will be the Bills’ No. 3 running back for Week 17 if Chris Ivory (shoulder) can get cleared.
  • FA Running Back
Keith Ford rushed 14 times for 46 yards and caught his only target for seven yards in the Bills’ Week 15 win over the Lions.
After Marcus Murphy exited in the second quarter, Ford was the only option in the backfield for the Bills. He briefly left himself in the third quarter, but he was able to return. Ford looked perfectly serviceable in the lead role, but both LeSean McCoy (hamstring) and Chris Ivory (shoulder) appeared close to playing this week. One or both of them should be back to face the Patriots next week.
  • FA Running Back
UDFA Keith Ford will be the Bills’ No. 2 running back for Week 15.
LeSean McCoy and Chris Ivory are both inactive. A between-the-tackles grinder at Texas A&M, perhaps Ford will get to cash in some goal-line carries behind starter Marcus Murphy. He’s the defintion of a Hail Mary play.
