Chargers signed West Virginia running back Leddie Brown.
A four-year contributor at West Virginia, Brown (6'/213) went over 1,000 yards rushing each of his final two years, finishing with a 620-2,888-27 career rushing line and 86-604-5 career receiving line. He registered a 4.64 40 at the Combine with a 30-inch vertical and 9-foot-10 broad jump, although he improved that vertical to 36.5 inches at his Pro Day. Brown is a solid back who gets downhill and takes advantage of what is blocked, but he does not have the physical traits to really create yards on his own. Perhaps he catches on as a depth option, but he is unlikely to force his way to the top of the Los Angeles depth chart.
