Undrafted rookie Bears WR Mark Harrison is recovering from foot surgery, but is expected to be ready for training camp.
Harrison’s injury is reportedly similar to the one that held Hakeem Nicks out last offseason. It’s likely why the 6-foot-3, 230 pound wideout — who boasts 4.46 speed — went undrafted. Provided he’s healthy, Harrison will be in the mix for the Bears’ final receiver spot.

Undrafted rookie WR Mark Harrison failed his Bears physical and will return to free agency.
The sides had agreed to terms on a UDFA contract, but Harrison is recovering from foot surgery and wasn’t medically cleared at rookie minicamp. The Bears are expected to “revisit” re-signing Harrison at a later date, though he could now also land elsewhere. Harrison was one of this year’s top UDFA wideouts.
  • FA Wide Receiver #22
Patriots signed Rutgers WR Mark Harrison.
An undrafted free agent, Harrison originally agreed to terms with the Bears but was turned away at rookie minicamp when he failed his physical due to a foot injury. Harrison is talented -- he’s 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds with 4.46 wheels -- but he’ll have an uphill climb to make the 53-man roster in New England.
  • FA Wide Receiver #22
Bears signed Rutgers WR Mark Harrison.
Harrison (6-foot-2 7/8, 231) was a big field stretcher for the Scarlet Knights, making 107 career catches for 1,769 yards (16.5 YPR) and 18 touchdowns. He demonstrated outstanding athleticism in Indianapolis with a 4.46 forty, 1.56 ten-yard split, 38.5-inch vertical, and 10-foot-9 broad jump. Harrison’s main negatives are catching the ball cleanly and consistently, stiffness in routes, and suspect burst off the line. The destroyed hotel room at the Combine belonged to Harrison and DeAndre Hopkins, so it may have led to him being undrafted.
  • FA Wide Receiver #22
Patriots placed WR Mark Harrison on the reserve/PUP list.
A size-speed freak out of Rutgers, Harrison spent the entire pre-draft process and training camp recovering from a foot problem. He’s highly unlikely to be a 2013 contributor and figures to spend the year on the PUP list.
  • FA Wide Receiver #22
Free agent WR Mark Harrison is participating in Jets minicamp on a tryout basis.
As are free agents CB Jonte Green and OT Charles Brown. Harrison was a favorite of the draft community coming out of Rutgers in 2013 but hasn’t been heard from since last June. At 6-foot-3 and 231 pounds, Harrison ran a 4.46 forty at the Combine. He went undrafted and has yet to appear in an NFL game.
  • FA Wide Receiver #22
Patriots WR Mark Harrison (foot) is practicing fully at OTAs.
There was pre-draft speculation the Pats might try Harrison at tight end -- he’s 6-foot-3, 231 with 4.46 speed -- but he’s practicing at wide receiver. Harrison will have a difficult time making the Patriots’ 53 behind Aaron Dobson, Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola, Brandon LaFell, and Kenbrell Thompkins.
  • FA Wide Receiver #22
Chiefs signed WR Mark Harrison, CB Kip Edwards, CB Quinton Byrd and WR Cole Stanford.
A “name” undrafted free agent last season, Harrison was waived by the Pats two weeks ago. He reportedly showed up late to an OTAs session before earning his walking papers. Harrison is an intriguing size/speed prospect with 4.46 wheels to go along with his 6-foot-3, 230-pound frame, but spent 2013 stowed away on the reserve/PUP list. He’s likely just a camp body despite the Chiefs’ unsettled situation at wideout.

    Patriots waived WR Mark Harrison.
A favorite in some Dynasty league circles, Harrison spent his 2013 rookie year on injured reserve with a fractured foot, and didn’t recover in time for 2014 OTAs. He was obviously behind schedule. Harrison is 23 years old with 4.46 jets at 6'3/230. He’ll definitely draw interest if his health is right.
  • FA Wide Receiver #22
Ex-Patriots WR Mark Harrison reportedly showed up late to an OTA practice this week, before New England waived him.
Harrison isn’t technically a free agent yet -- he’s on waivers -- but he will be shortly. He has health problems, and now apparently a tardiness red flag, things that tend to bother older-school coaches. Off-field problems were one of the many reasons Harrison was not selected in last April’s draft.
