Markus Howard signed a two-year contract to play in Spain with Baskonia on Sunday.
Howard played 68 games over two seasons for Denver with just one start. He averaged just 5.6 minutes per game. He wasn’t a fantasy relevant player, but he should see more playing time overseas. If you had him stashed in a deep dynasty league, feel free to drop him. He won’t be in the NBA until at least late 2024.

The Nuggets will not extend qualifying offers to either Markus Howard or Facundo Campazzo, according to Vinny Benedetto of the Colorado Springs Gazette.
No surprise here, as neither Howard nor Campazzo offered much in the way of production last season. In the case of Campazzo, who is rumored to be the target of former club Real Madrid, he was able to play rotation minutes last season. Howard, on the other hand, was not. Both will be unrestricted free agents come 6 PM Eastern.

Markus Howard scored a career-high 25 points on 8-of-17 shooting (7-of-8 FTs) in Sunday’s overtime loss to the Lakers, adding three boards with one assist, one steal, two 3-pointers and no turnovers in just 24 minutes.
Howard last scored in double figures in mid-December, so even saying this was fluky is an understatement. The only way Denver could have moved up into the standings is if Utah lost to Portland, which didn’t happen, so the sixth seed is theirs and they’ll get the Dubs in the first round of the postseason. Howard may not even be in the rotation in the postseason, but good for him for strutting his stuff in a meaningless game. Plenty of other Nuggets had fun, with Davon Reed (14/3/4) and JaMychal Green (11/9/3/3/1) also scoring in double figures, with s even total Nuggets managing to do so in an incredibly high-scoring game.

Markus Howard did not play in Tuesday’s 110-105 win over the Pistons.
Howard was cleared to play after missing Sunday’s game due to a non-COVID illness. He isn’t in the rotation on most nights when healthy, so the second-year guard picking up a DNP-CD should come as no surprise.

Markus Howard (illness) will play in Tuesday’s matchup vs. the Pistons.
After a one-game absence, Howard will be back in the lineup Tuesday night, but will likely not play significant minutes.

Markus Howard (non-COVID illness) is listed as questionable for Tuesday’s matchup with the Pistons.
Howard missed their Sunday matchup with the Pistons, but if he does play, he likely won’t see enough minutes to make an impact in fantasy.

Markus Howard (non-COVID illness) has been downgraded to out for Sunday’s game against the Pistons.
Howard, who has only appeared in two games over the last month or so, is not in the rotation on most nights. His absence will not have an impact on fantasy basketball leagues.

Markus Howard (non-COVID illness) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s matchup with the Pistons.
Howard played for the first time since December 15th against Portland on January 14th and hit a 3-pointer in three minutes. He hasn’t played since with multiple DNP- Coach’s Decision designations. This won’t have an impact on fantasy hoops this year.

Markus Howard (left knee) will be available to play on Thursday vs. Portland.
He hasn’t played since Dec. 15, but he’s typically a negligible part of the rotation, anyway.

Markus Howard (left knee) had an MRI that revealed a left knee sprain, and he will be re-evaluated in six weeks.
Howard was averaging 14.7 points in 16.3 minutes per game over the three games before his injury. Austin Rivers is set to return on Friday and should provide the scoring boost that the Nuggets will miss from Howard.
