How to watch No. 4 Purdue vs. UCLA: TV, live stream info and storylines for Tuesday’s game

In a tough Big Ten matchup for the nation’s fourth-ranked team, Purdue will face UCLA on the road Tuesday night on Peacock.

The Boilermakers (7-0 Big Ten, 17-1 overall) have tied the best start in program history and extended their winning streak to nine games Saturday with a 14-point road comeback over USC.

After an away loss to Ohio State, the Bruins (4-3 Big Ten, 12-6 overall) return home to Pauley Pavilion, where they are a perfect 10-0 in the 2025-26 season.

This will be the 15th meeting between the teams but the first in Pauley Pavilion since a 55-53 victory for UCLA on Dec. 30, 1999. The Bruins lead the series 10-4. Purdue won 76-66 on Feb. 28, 2025 in their lone meeting last season.

No. 4 Purdue:

With a trio of stars, the Boilermakers have an efficient offense that ranks second nationally at 20.7 assists per game and leads the Big Ten in 3‑point percentage (39.2%). Despite an average takeaway total, they can turn up the heat on defense, closing the victory over USC on a 12-4 run in the final 3 minutes.

Seniors Braden Smith (14.7 ppg, 9.4 apg, 43% 3-point shooting) and Fletcher Loyer (13.4 pp, 39% 3-point shooting) form the most experienced backcourt in the country, and senior Trey Kaufman‑Renn (12.7 ppg, 9.1 rpg) provides an inside presence that complements the shotmaking and ball movement.

In his 21st season and on track for his 13th consecutive berth in the NCAA Tournament, head coach Matt Painter also has depth with Oscar Cluff (12.2 ppg, 76% field goal shooting), Daniel Jacobsen (7.8 ppg, 1.9 bpg) and freshman guard Omer Mayer.

UCLA:

The Bruins play a brand of basketball that flips possessions, committing just 10.1 turnovers per game while forcing 13.8 (second in the Big Ten) for a positive turnover margin ranking the top 35 nationally. They also shoot 3-pointers (36.8%) at a higher clip than their opponents (29.8%) — one of only seven Division I teams above 36% on 3-pointers while the opposition is below 30%.

UCLA’s offense is paced by versatile senior forward Tyler Bilodeau (18.5 ppg, 43% 3-pointers), who had 30 points in the loss to Ohio State. Senior guard Donovan Dent had 13 points and seven assists against Ohio State, and sophomore Trent Perry (11.2 ppg, 41% 3-point shooting) has surged as a starter. UCLA misses Skyy Clark (13.5 PPG, 49% 3-point shooting), who has missed four conseuctive games with a hamstring injury.

Head coach Mick Cronin is in his seventh season of bluntly assessing his team’s successes and failures. “Highly disappointed,” Cronin said after the Bruins allowed the Buckeyes to shoot 52.8% in their latest loss. “I offer no excuses. Blame me, I recruited them. I signed them as free agents. We’re not going to win meaningful games if we can’t stop the other team.”
